Chapter Nineteen

The weather is slightly warmer today. Which is surprising because it's winter now. Global warming is real, kids! Because I'm feeling all sorts of artsy-fartsy for nature today, I am going to go outdoors and paint something.

I jumped out of bed and watered Bean. Bean grew again. It's getting really big now.

"Look at you grow, Bean! You're 17 days old today!"

"..."

I make my way to my wardrobe and decided to wear the most painter looking outfit. A 3/4 sleeve turtle neck tucked into a pleated midi skirt. Pairing it with ankle boots, red beret and a scarf around my neck. This is screaming 'artist' so loud.

My first stop is the art and craft store. I need to buy some small canvases, paint and paintbrushes.

"Hi, I'm Tiffany. Welcome to store. Can I help you with anything?"

"Yes, please. I'm just a beginner. Can I get some basic art supply?"

"Sure! Where are you heading to today?"

"Oh, the park! Wanted to try painting outdoor and be all artsy-fartsy."

"I always get inspiration from nature! I hope you have fun painting today!"

I thank her, pays for the supplies and slowly strolls to the park. Within fifteen minutes, I reach my favourite spot in the park. As I am setting up my painting supplies, I can't help but think about how perfect the weather is.

The sun is shining brilliantly and the water in the pond is glittering. The sunlit clouds drift across a clear blue sky. Fresh air fill my lungs and I feel refresh and alive. The breath-taking scenery captivated me.

There are couples and families out for picnics. There are also people exercising and walking their dogs. I sat on the grass and started painting. It looks like my painting comes alive with every stroke from my paintbrush. I was so engrossed with painting, I didn't realise it is almost the evening.

I finish up my painting, feeling very contented while admiring it. I pack up and dust off the grass on my skirt.

"Ahhh... this feels so nice."

I get on the bus to go to my favourite cafe. What better way is there to end the day with a cup of coffee after painting?
