Later that night when Seokjin called him downstairs for dinner, Taehyun was planning on proposing his idea to him. He had been thinking about it a lot lately and he just couldn't get the thought and the possibility of it happening out of his mind. The young boy wanted to help his brother in all the ways he possibly could and he thought this would be helpful.

He descended down the stairs, taking two at a time, and headed for the table, sitting down and watching as his brother did the same opposite of him. The older picked up his fork and digged into the food he had just cooked for the both of them, seemingly tired from his day at work and as hungry as always.

For a few moments all Taehyun did was look at his brother. Not in a creepy way, but just in an observing way, trying to figure out which mood he was in now. He did so whenever he wanted to ask or tell him something as he wanted to make sure he got the best reaction possible from the older.

He could be smart if he wanted to.

He let his eyes wander over the soft features the man had. He had a rather long face, with thick plump lips, a straight and pretty nose and rather big but gentle eyes which got smaller and turned into crescents everytime he laughed. His hair was dyed in a light shade of blonde, which brightened up his whole appearance. He was only a small seven years older than him, but it wasn't that visable as his skin was still smooth and healthy and in public people often thought he was only one or two years older.

"So I've been thinking," Taehyun started, snapping his eyes down as he picked up his fork. Seokjin lifted his head and swallowed his food. "Mh?"

"This house, it's actually too big for the both of us, right?" He said, not looking up from his plate. "I mean when dad was still here it was fine, but..." He trailed off, feeling a pang through his heart at the memory but he quickly pushed it away when he saw Seokjin slowly lower his fork, eyes turning sad. "Maybe we should think about renting a room to someone. You know, to some kid from the university or something." He continued carefully, eyeing his brother.

Seokjin sighed, thinking about the proposal as he set his fork down and soon a small smile made its way on his face. "What did I do to deserve such a little brother like you? That's an amazing idea."

Taehyun chuckled, feeling more a ease now the older wasn't upset or mad he suggested such a thing. He knew the topic of the house lay emotional with the older and ever since their dad wasn't around anymore he had been in charge of everything, such as the rent and cooking and everything. In a way the place had become part of him.

He smiled back and shrugged. "Won the lottery?"

Seokjin shook his head fondly and reached across the table to ruffle his hair, messing it up and making the strands stick in every direction.

They continued eating dinner, talking about their days and what had happened to them and just about some random things that had no real meaning to the both of them but was still entertaining enough to keep talking about. When they were finished Seokjin stood up and brought the plates to the sink to wash them up.

Taehyun stood up and walked around the table, setting the glasses they had used for drinks on the counter next to the plates his brother had just placed there. He turned to face him and pressed a small kiss to the man's cheek. "Goodnight."

Seokjin nodded and gave him a small smile as he turned the water on and reached for the soap. "Sleep tight."

Taehyun turned around and walked out of the room, heading for the stairs which he climbed rather slowly, finally starting to feel tired from the events that happened today. He really disliked the way Ravn and his gang treated him, but he couldn't exactly tell his brother as he didn't want to bother him or make him worried about him. He knew he had a lot going on right now with his job and the rents which still needed to be paid, he didn't want to add up on his problems. He would figure it out on his own.
