New Years Eve Surprise

2019 is coming to an end. That's insane! So much happened this year and I figured I would be cliche and write my own fan-fiction to end 2019.

Y/n's POV:

Me and Ethan are happily married and went to Aruba for our honeymoon. It was absolutely romantic. I wish we can stay in the honeymoon stage forever, but we had to come back to reality.

A couple weeks after coming back home from our honeymoon, I have been having constant headaches and the feeling that I'm gonna throw up. I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive!

I didn't want to get my hopes up so I made an appointment to the OBGYN (Obstetrician Gynecologist).

She took an ultrasound and noticed something the size of a peanut inside of me.

"Congratulations Mrs. Dolan, you are in fact 6 weeks pregnant." I couldn't believe it. I was in total shock.

(a/n: Ethan would be such a good Dad...Dead-ass.)

I always wanted to have a child, but I didn't think it would come so soon. I started to panic and overthink everything.

Do we have enough space for a child?

Are we financially stable for raise a child?

Does Ethan even want a child so soon?

Will I be a good Mom?

Will Ethan still love me?

What if I get too fat that he'll leave me?

I basically thought of every question in the books that you can think of. I wanted to come up with a surprise for Ethan and I know just how to do it.

I wanted to surprise him right before the New Years Eve ball would drop.

*Skip to New Years Eve night. Still in Y/n's POV*

It's New Years Eve night and both my family and his family, along with some of our closest friends, came to celebrate New Years Eve. Let me remind you that absolutely no one knows about me being pregnant yet so I would be surprising not only Ethan, but to everyone who came tonight.

I didn't want to mess this up because you only get one shot.

While Ethan was out at the store getting some last minute things for our party, I got a box with blue and pink polka dots with the pregnancy test and a picture of the ultrasound.

I quickly put it away once I heard the front door open and close, assuming that it was Ethan.

While I was putting everything together for our party, Ethan came up from behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, placing a lingering kiss to my neck.

"You ok babe? You seem tense." He stated, massaging my shoulders in attempt to make me relax.

"Yea, I'm fine." I responded and he clearly knew something wasn't right. I hate keeping secrets from him. It's eating me up alive.

*Skip to the party*

Everyone arrived and we're all having a wonderful time spending the last day of 2019 together. Now, we're all getting ready to watch the ball drop with only 1 minute left of 2019.

It's time.

"Ethan, baby, can I talk to you for a second?" I asked him.

"Yea of course." I grabbed his hand lightly and took him in the kitchen.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" I started to get nervous. My heart was beating out of my chest and those same questions repeated in my head.

"I wanted to give you something to remind you how much I love you."

"Y/n you didn't have to get me anything. You're all I want." My heart fluttered once he said this.

"Just open it!" I giggled and he just smiled and obliged.

He took the wrapping paper off and opened the box with a confused expression. Once he realized what he was holding, his eyes widened and I get anxious.

"I-Is this real?" He stuttered on the verge of tears. I simply nodded my head

"You're really pregnant?!" He screamed for everyone to hear. Everyone was watching us now.

"Y-Yea." At this point everyone was socked and Ethan was crying.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Ethan dropped the box and brought me into his embrace, lifting me up so my legs were wrapped around his waist. We were both crying tears of joy. Our families were clapping and cheering us on.

Ethan put me down and cupped my cheeks with his hands and kissed me with so much love and compassion. All I could think about were the What Ifs.

We pull away with our foreheads together, forgetting the world around us and just focusing on each other.

"I love you so much and I cannot wait to have a baby with the woman I love most." He said with true sincerity.

"I love you so much Ethan. I was so scared that you didn't want to have a baby this soon in our marriage and I thought of the worst side of things an-" I was about to continue but he interrupted me by kissing me.

He pulled away and looked in my eyes.

"Of course I want a baby with you. Why wouldn't I? I am so lucky to have you in my life and I cannot wait to raise a child with you. I can't believe that we're having a baby!!" He said through tears.

At this moment, I knew all of my What Ifs were stupid and I shouldn't have thought of the worst.

"I love you so much, Ethan"

"I love you too, bubba." I loved when he called me that. He smiled and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek before bending down to my stomach.

(a/n: On a real note, I really love that nickname!)

"I cannot wait until you're born little one. I already love you so much!" everyone was staring in awe at us and I couldn't me more in love. Me and Ethan were at eye level now and I bring him into my arms for a hug.

Once we pulled away from our hug, our parents came up to congratulate us along with Ethan's siblings and mine.

*Skip to the end of the night*

Everyone has left our house so it was just me and Ethan. After putting all of the leftover food away into containers and in the fridge.

We both go upstairs to change into our pajamas and get ready for bed. Once we get into bed, Ethan pulls me into him so that my head is laying on his chest, hearing his heart beating.

"Happy New Year, Mrs. Dolan." He jokes while kissing my forehead.

"Happy New Year, Mr. Dolan." I say back to him and give him a quick peck on the lips.

"And Happy New Year little Dolan." Ethan said while placing a hand on my belly.

This will be a New Years Eve I will never forget.
