"hi, i'm here for the music lessons?" i asked as i pushed open the big glass door. "ah yes, ms. chisake. take a seat over there. the master will be back shortly." the older woman sent me a spine chilling stare. i just nodded and sat in the large seat she pointed at. my school bag was in my lap and my fingers started to nervously swirl the strap around. i wasn't nervous for my lessons, my mind just couldn't shake that pianist competition. and would takeda really be okay with me bringing kyo? i couldn't leave him for a whole week..i'd have no one to watch him so he'd have to come. and having to go along with the volleyball team, back to nekoma of all places.

as soon as the final bell rang i was already dashing out of school. i knew nishinoya was going to try and talk to me about it more. i saw how he looked when he left me in the music room, i could see in his hazel eyes how determined he was to get me to go. my eyes sparkled, he really did believe in my music after knowing me for only a few days. "oi are you supposed to be my teacher?" a lazy voice barked at me. i snapped my head up and saw a middle schooler, he had dark black hair that was curly and crazy. as i stood up i examined him more, he had bruises up and down his arm from what i could see, and he had a square cloth bandaged covering one of his cheeks. "i asked you a question!" his piercing icy blue eyes glared at me.

"ah! sorry! i didn't realize i was teaching someone so young," i smiled softly. his features contoured into an angry glare and he started to shake. "i'm almost the same height as you!!! so you have no room to talk!!" he blurted stomping away. my mouth opened to an o shape, i don't recall saying anything about his height. "you can follow him miss." the older lady groaned. i nodded and hesitantly followed the boy through the halls. he lived in a penthouse above a big corporations building. "baka! calling me young! she looks young!" i heard the boy grumble as he plopped down in front of a white piano. i let out a giggle and sat beside him, making his face heat up. "i may be short for my age, but i assure you i'm seventeen." he just shot his gaze away and puckered his lips in an angry pout. he was reminding me a lot of kyo, i can see my little brother growing up to be like him.

"airie chisake, but you can call me airie." i winked at him and stuck my tongue out. his face only heated up more and he looked away again. "ichigo toshinori." i barley heard his mumble, but nonetheless I smiled able to catch his name. "well ichigo, let's start? can you show me what you know?" i smiled pulling out starter note sheets. "put those sheets away. i know what i'm doing!" he proudly grinned. i nodded and sat back, waiting for him to start. my eyes widened when he started to play moonlight sonata. but he got too cocky and started to fumble with the keys, slipping up when he should be playing a sharp when he's playing in flats. but overall he was talented.

he came to an end and didn't meet my gaze. probably embarrassed that he messed up here and there. "i think that was amazing, you really are talented." i nudged his shoulder. "yeah whatever, what do you know anyway?" he scoffed. i smiled sweetly and placed my hands over the keys and started to play. i heard him gasp as he probably recognized the melody, after all grande valse brilliante was on an expert level. i stopped playing when i saw how big his eyes grew, my heart swelling with happiness. i hope kyo gets this excited about music when he's older. "you're awesome!" he gushed uncontrollably his face going red as he realized what he said aloud. "i can teach you to do that ya know?" i smirked at him happily. "r-really!!" he beamed. we continued our first lesson with the basics, not that ichigo cared for that, but if he was to get where he wanted to be. it'd take a lot of practice.

"so..so i guess i'll see you in two days then." ichigo crossed his arms looking away from me as i stood at the glass door. "i guess so. bye ichigo," i smiled at the young boy before ruffling with his hair. he swatted my hands away and closed the door roughly, but i was able to catch his red cheeks. i began my walk to pick up kyo, i hope he had a better day today. the building was a good twenty minute walk away from kyo's daycare. i checked my phone and saw that i was two hours later than normal. thankfully mori was okay with me getting kyo late.

"onee-chan!!" kyo ran over to me as soon as i got into the daycare. i swooped him up into the air and then back into my chest, his loud giggles filling the room. "you're in a good mood," i giggled placing kisses all over his face. "he had a great day today airie, and he even helped clean up the daycare." mori came over and handed me his backpack. i smiled brightly at the woman and squeezed kyo into my chest. "we're celebrating with ice cream!" that earned a loud yell of happiness from the three year old. we said our goodbyes to his teacher and began our walk to the convenience store near our home. "hmm what flavor do you want kyo?" i squeezed his hand tighter as we walked down the street. "gari-gari!" kyo shouted pumping his hands in the air. my face screwed up in disgust, "kyo why do you like soda flavored ice cream," my face was turning pale from the nasty thought.

"gari-gari! gari-gari!" kyo kept cheering as we inched closer to the store. i saw a group of people gathering around the shop, my eyes widening for a second from seeing the karasuno volleyball team. well some of the players. "airie?" daichi turned around and waved at me. "hello," i waved back stopping in front of the three third years. "why're you out so late?" sugawara tilted his head confused, his eyes glancing down to kyo. "i had work after school, then i had to pick up kyo here!" i tried pushing the three year old out from behind my legs, but his shy demeanor was persistent. "hey there little man." daichi knelt down and grinned at kyo. "h-hi.." kyo mumbled back. i giggled at his actions and looked back up to say hi to asahi, but his eyes stopped me. why was he looking so shocked? "airie?!! you have a kid!?" he shouted awkwardly, causing a long silent pause between us.

my cheeks flared up and i started to stutter. "asahi that's rude." sugawara chopped his side, making the big boy man double over in pain. "kyo's my little brother.." i mumbled out still feeling my cheeks to be hot. asahi gasped in horror and started to mumble out sorrys left and right. i tried to calm him but it was to no avail. "i'll just take him, have a goodnight airie." sugawara smiled wearily and pulled away a very emotional asahi. "sorry about him, that was very unexpected of him." daichi sighed rubbing the back of his neck. "it's okay, i get that sometimes." i slightly nodded my head. we stood in silence for a little until i felt kyo tugging on my legs. "onee-chan..gari-gari.." he mumbled with puppy eyes.

"oh! sorry kyo i almost forgot! please excuse us-" i was cut off by daichi kneeling down and handing kyo a familiar blue popsicle. kyo's eyes twinkled seeing his favorite treat, his little hands taking the popsicle out of daichi's big hands. "thank you onii-chan!" kyo beamed calling daichi his older brother. daichi's cheeks were tinted pink as he shook his head, "d-don't worry about it!" he chuckled softly. i stared at kyo munching away at the blue treat. my eyes looking back up to daichi, "thank you. i'll pay you back." i went to teach for my wallet but he stopped me. "it's okay honestly, he seemed to want it more than me." he smiled brightly. my eyes glancing back down to the three year old. "i think you may have gotten kyo attached to you," i shook my head laughing softly remembering when a certain someone gave kyo a treat. "huh?!" daichi blushes again.

"have a goodnight daichi!" i waved goodbye as we made our way home. kyo ran into the house after kicking off his shoes. we did our normal routine of me cooking, giving him a bath, then tucking him in. but this time i was laying in bed with him as we read another bedtime story.i paused mid-sentence seeing the little boy asleep. as i slipped out of his room i turned around when i heard kyo moving around. his brown eyes sleepingly gazed at me, "onee-chan," he pouted. "what's wrong kyo?" i leaned on the door frame. "i miss yaku onii.." he yearned and laid back down, falling instantly asleep. "me too," i sighed, making my way to finish up a paper when my eyes caught the moonlight shining off of the teal piano.

i sat down on the stool and played random melodies.

you're amazing!!

nishinoya's voice vibrated in my head. i didn't know why but hearing his encouraging words made me want to go that much more.

you're going to kick their asses!!

i giggled from the memory of his words. i closed the fall board, turned off the lights, and headed to bed.

i think i'll go. what's the worst that can happen.
