i brought my hand across my body and clutched my opposite arm. "hi yaku," i bit my lower lip. his honey eyes bored into mine. "kuroo wasn't lying to me it seems," he sighed shaking his head, his eyes adverting to the black haired boy holding kyo on his shoulders. his eyes flew back to mine and they glistened with determination. i felt taken back a little, but i swallowed my nerves and spoke. "i'm sorry i didn't say goodbye, or explain anything." my fist balled softly. i could see nishinoya in the corner of my eye staring at me with shock. yaku was still staring at me, the determination still very present. why wasn't he saying anything..should i say more? "eeh!?" i squealed when i felt arms yanking me.

"you're so dumb airie! you had me so worried!" i heard yaku shouting in my ear. his arms holding me tighter. "you could've called!! i could've been there for you and kyo!!" he scolded me, i felt my body relax. this was the yaku i know and missed. i reached my arms forward to hug him back but instead my hand felt a familiar warmth, heat rushed to my cheeks. "airie we have to go." nishinoya said spoke sternly pulling me away, his grip around my hand tightening. "a-airie?" yaku called out. i gave him a weary look before turning my attention to kyo, who had just noticed my retreating body. he ran over to us but instead of grabbing my hand he jumped half way up nishinoya. "nishi carry me!" he cooed gripping onto his white shirt.

that seemed to knock the libero out of his weird mood, "of course!" nishinoya chuckled and held the small
boy on his hip, my eyes followed down our arm to see our hands still connected. "you guys look like a family again," i overheard yachi grinning, hinata beside her smiling with wide eyes as he bounced his head up and down. i just felt my face heat up immensely and looked ahead as the karasuno team walked out of the gym together.

"ah how was the reunion?" yaku felt a smack on the upper part of his back. the said third year's eyes were stuck on the connected hands of his rival libero, and the girl's he's been in love with for years. his body froze for a second seeing airie turn back and give him one more breathtaking smile.

"still a lovesick pup i see," yaku heard yamamoto as he slung his arm over the libero's shoulder. yaku's attentioned turned to the side when he heard whimpering. "yamamoto why are you crying?" he deadpanned. "it's not fair!" yamamoto balled. yaku let out a sigh and shook his head, his eyes moving back over to the door airie just disappeared from.

"no, it's not fair at all." he grinned sadly, flashes of airie's face when nishinoya held onto her hand.

"nishinoya why were you so upset that yaku knew airie?" hinata leaned closer to my face as we made our way back to our designated room. i clicked my tongue and clenched the towel that hung around my neck, "i wasn't upset." i defended. tanaka just snickered causing me to snap my head in his direction. "what's so funny!" i pointed my finger in his direction yelling slightly. asahi trying to keep me calm since daichi yelled at us once already. "man noya why don't you just admit it?!" tanaka proudly asked. "admit what?" hinata's eyes grew. i snapped my head away, my flat hair bouncing lightly off my forehead.

"admit that he likes airie~" my jaw dropped. "you too asahi?!" i hissed. the tall third year held up his hands chuckling lightly. "you guys are so wrong! airie's just my best friend!" i crossed my arms, snickering a little when tanaka pouted. we got back to our room and to my surprise kyo was here. "nishi!" he cheered and ran over to me, my cheeks flushing from embarrassment when i heard some of the boys snicker. "why are you here kyo? i'm sure airie would want you sleeping." i tickled the boy lightly kneeling down. "onee-chan is practicing and said i can stay with daichi onii!" his eyes sparkled. i looked up to see daichi proudly smiling, suga grinning sarcastically.

it's really late, and she's practicing now? i looked out the door, was she alone? kyo waddled back over to daichi, but when they looked back up at nishinoya he was already gone, only the towel that was around his neck left on the floor. "that boy has got it bad." asahi smiled to himself picking up the towel.

i tried to keep my steps light as i ran through the halls toward the music room. i'm just taking a guess that the music room would be in the back of the school like karasuno. i saw a door opened and my smile grew, i stopped running and bent over to get my breathing normal. i wonder what she's practicing, something new? my chest filled with wondered as i made my way forward- my eyes widened when i heard her talking to someone.

"yaku, it's not that easy." she breathed out. i felt my body start to boil and my fist balled up. why was he here? and how did he know she was here! "airie you're putting to much stress on yourself, you have to slow down." he sounded worried. tch. "you've always said that." she laughed lightly. it was quiet between the two, my body was frozen by the door. i felt like i should leave, like i was peeping on them. but..but i didn't want to leave without seeing airie. "what's wrong yaku?" my eyes shot to the open door. i heard shuffling then silence, my curiosity took control and i peered around the door to see what was going on. my pupils shrunk and i felt the air leave my chest, yaku was kissing airie on the cheek. my heart was beating so fast i thought it'd burst. i saw him whisper something in her ear before pulling away from her and making his exit. i quickly stood up straight and kept my gaze ahead of me. yaku walked passed me, staring at me for a second and mumbling something before walking away.

all i wanted to do was pounce on him for what he did. but why did it feel so much more than that?
