I woke slowly like my body was fighting against me, wanting to savour the first good sleep I
could remember. I bit my lip as the sensation of pleasurable sparks flooding through my body. With my eyes still closed, I snuggled deeper into the heat source coming from behind me. I froze when a soft calloused hand stroked my belly wrapping itself tighter around my middle. My chest tightened with dread as I squeezed my closed eyes tighter, trying to disappear and wait for the client to get up and leave. The hand leisurely slipped out from under my shirt, lingering at the hip."Jocelyn." A deep raspy voice spoke softly from behind me.
My eyes flew open at the sound of my name. I turned my head in the direction of the voice and saw Alexander laying on his side, propped up on his elbow staring down at me with curiosity in his eyes. The last couple of days events filled the empty spaces of my mind. It wasn't a hallucination after all. I looked away wiggling my toes, taking stock of the new lightness I felt as opposed to the usual haze.
I held in a squeal of joy at the prospect of being free from their poison. I turned back to Alexander as the memories of last night flashed through my mind. I looked away, chewing on my lip thinking about how his hands tempered the ache in my belly and the pleasure the strange magical sparks had brought me.
I tried to swallow the guilt of enjoying the feeling his touch brought me. But the presence in mind growled so loudly that a sharp pain at the back of my forehead made me grumble in pain. I brought the palm of my hand to my head shaking it slightly, trying to alleviate the pain.
Alexander lightly grabbed ahold of my wrist giving a small tug. His touch brought the same tingling sensation it had before and the growling in my mind disappeared entirely. I opened my eyes and turned to face his piercing stare. I jerked my wrist out of his grasp and waited for growling in my head to return, which it did as soon as his skin left mine. I frowned reaching a timid hand out to him.
His face remained serious as he brought his hand up to mine, hovering it in the air waiting for me to make the final contact. I slowly leaned forward until my hand was lightly touching his. I gazed at our hands in fascination, the same sparks were shooting up my arm but I could see no evidence of them on the outside. Curiouser and curiouser I mused the phrase popping up in my mind. I went to pull away when Alexander laced his fingers through mine.
"It's the mate bond remember? I feel them too." He said in a slightly more husky voice than usual.
He looked at me expectingly before continuing, "Are you hungry?" He asked rising from the bed, releasing my hand.
His hair was a thick raven colour that came down in slight waves a few inches above his shoulders. His baggy pants hung low on his hips, v-shaped muscles sculped downwards disappearing into the waistline of his pants. His tall imposing body was built and define and my eyes ran down his god-like form eagerly drinking it in. I knew his enormous figure should frighten me or be intimidating I'm the least, but I could only find myself feeling comforted.
My gaze wandered up to his chiselled stomach, moving upwards to his massive smooth masculine slightly rounded chest if you looked closely was painted with faint scars. My lustful gaze travelled along the long thick veins running down his forearms, twisting down his huge calloused hands.
I looked up to see him smirking down at me with mischief glinting in his eyes. I spun away suddenly seeing that man leaving my cell, smirking at my guard and zipping up his pants. I hung my head in shame, feeling dirty despite the voice in my head pleading with me to reach out to him, craving those supernatural sparks.
