Lynn's POV:
We enter Pizza Hut after our short trip through the mall. We just walked around and didn't really buy anything, but since we are hungry we decided to get for a pizza.
The waitress shows us our table and Julia sits down next to me and Matt and Joe are sitting
across from us. When I suddenly hear a familiar voice behind me, that makes me turn around.Christian.
Why is he here? And who is the woman across from him? All I can see his her back. But I know her from somewhere. She looks familiar. She also seems to wear a dress. Who goes dressed like this to Pizza Hut?!
She turns around following Christians gaze, because his eyes seemed to be glued on me.
It's Ms Jones.
I always liked her because she's kind and a good teacher. I have geography with her. But why is she here with MY boyfriend?!
Suddenly Julia taps my shoulder.
"What are you looking at?"
"Nothing." I shake my head and turn back around.
Joe says: "Look, there are Mr Richards and Ms Jones. I bet they're on a date. " He smirks.
"Mr Richards has a girlfriend." Matt says.
I look at him with a shocked and questioning expression.
"Who?" Asks Julia.
"I don't know her. I just met them at Lynn's a few weeks ago. I don't know if they're still together." Matt says shrugging his shoulders. I'm surprised how casually he explains that, as if it is the most normal thing to meet their teachers at a friends house.
"Why was Mr. Richards at your house, Lynn?" Julia asks. She does not think like that.
"He's friends with my Dad, but they just met around Christmas time at the birthday we went to."
"So he has still a girlfriend? "
"I think, yes." I say. But not Britney.
"But why is he here with Ms. Jones?" Joe asks.
"I don't know. " I answer.
" Let's go say hi."
"What? No."
"Why?"
"You really want to disturb whatever they have. They should have some privacy. Who wants to see their students outside of school?" I say. I really don't want to talk to him. I'm angry as hell.
First he didn't want me to go out with friends just because of Matt being with us and now he's out with Ms Jones. Alone. Just the two of them. And it obviously seems like they're having a date. I mean look at how dressed up she is.
I look at him one last time with an angry expression, then turn back around.
The waiter takes our order and we talk about some random stuff but my mind is still on Christian. Does he want me to be jealous? Because I am.
"Hey guys." Ms. Jones suddenly says. They are standing right next to me. I didn't even noticed them coming over.
"Hello." Julia smiles.
"Are you two having a date?" Joe asks. He's a jerk, why would you ask someone that?!
"No." Christian says serious.
"We're just friends." She adds smiling.
I can't look up. Otherwise I would start crying. But I don't really know why. I guess hormones and emotional overload? I'm so confused. I just want to go back home and lay in my bed. Alone.
"Well, enjoy your food. See you at school!" Ms Jones says.
And then they leave. Finally.
------
Lynn answer my calls.
I'm serious.
Please pick up.
I can explain it.
I got messages like this for the past hour, but I still don't want to talk to him.
Then the house phone rings. It's Christians' number so I don't pick up. No one else is at home so I let the phone ring. My parents have a date so they're out and I continue watching Gossip Girl and ignoring his calls.
Then door bell rings. I get out of my bed and walk downstairs. I look through the hole in the door to see him outside.
"Go away, Christian. " I yell.
"No. I can explain it."
"I don't care."
"Please let me in."
"No!"
I can't hear anything. Hopefully he's gone. I make my way upstairs when I hear the door crack open.
"Mom?" I ask.
"It's me." Christian says. He stands in the hallway.
"How did you get in?!" I shout.
"The key hidden under your flower pot." Classic move. I didn't even even know that we had a key hidden outside - safety first, lol.
"Get out." I say way calmer.
"No. I want to talk to you."
"But I don't want to talk to you."
"Please give 5 minutes to explain. "
"You have 3." I give in. I cross my arms and wait for him to explain. I'm still pretty pissed.
"Thank you. I just went out with Ana, because I was bored. You rejected me and didn't want to spent the whole evening at home. And she asked me before at school, but I said no because I have a girlfriend. But then you went out with Matt and I called her back. We are just friends who went out to eat a pizza. And I made that clear to her. I swear. Lynn, I love you. And no one can compete to you. I have you on my mind 24/7. Please forgive me for that awkward night. It wasn't what it looked like and it wasn't my intention to hurt you."
