Oh shit.

What the hell is he doing here?! Please don't tell me he knows Alex and his wife Nicole.

"Happy Birthday." he says.

Fuck. He does know him.

He notice him sitting down across from me and I quickly open the menu to hide my face. I'm sure I turned bright red at the sight of him. I can't believe that he's actually here!

"Hey everyone. I'm Christian." He introduces himself.

His name is Christian? Christian Grey. Yes, I read Shades of Grey and I'm so excited for the movie. Julia and I can't wait to see it. But that doesn't make the situation any more comfortable. It's also kind of weird to hear his first name for the first time. I obviously only knew him as Mr Richards and I can't explain why learning that about him excites me that much. I'm out of my mind...

"Lynn, do you want some wine? " Nicole asks me and forces my to put the menu down and face the situation.

"Ehm yes.. thanks" I answer and hold out my glass for her to pour me some white wine.

Mr Richards looks at me with a surprised expression on his face. Damn, this is so awkward. How am I supposed to survive this night? My crush is sitting across from me and my parents are also here. Great!

"Oh, hello Lynn" he says.

"Hi Mr Richards."

"You two know each other?" Alex asks, who came to join us over here.

"Yes, he's my English teacher."

Before anyone could ask more questions the waitress comes and saves me. Unfortunately, only for the moment. Because after ordering our food my mom starts asking him even more questions: "Can I ask how old you are?"

"29."

"Do you have a girlfriend? " Oh no. That's so embarrassing. Why is she always asking questions like that? She's so straight forward! You don't ask strangers things like that! Especially strangers who happen to be your daughters teacher!

"Mom." I hiss.

"It's okay, Lynn. And no, I'm single."

"How did you meet Alex and Nicole?" I ask. Now I get noisy. I'm wondering where I get that from..

"We met at the gym." He answers.

"What about you?"

"What do you mean?" I'm confused.

"Why are you here?"

"Oh. They are friends with my parents and I know them since I'm born."

"How old are you then? " he's smiling.

"17."

"Where is your boyfriend, Lynn? " One of the other friends of my parents asks. Phil, I also know him and his wife for ages. Thanks for interrupting my conversation with Mr Richards..

"How often do I have to tell you that I'm single. Forever alone. Do you remember?"

"I bet there are thousands of boys running after you."

"No one to be honest."

In that moment they serve our food. Thanks god. I hate it when they ask me about boys. Especially when my teacher, I crush on, sits at the same table. He looks at me with no expression on his face. I really want to know what he thinks..

"Can you give me the salt, Mr Richards?"

"Sure, but please call me Christian outside of school." He gives me the salt. I could scream. He honestly offered me to call him by his first name! I'm smiling.

"Thanks, Christian." I say to try saying his name. I like the way it sounds. He smirks.

I write a message to Mia as soon as I finished my dinner. Mia is my best friend, who doesn't go to my school. But I told her about my crush on my English teacher.

You won't believe me who sits with me at the same table in the restaurant"

In that moment I hear my dad say:

"You can celebrate New Years Eve with us."

WHAT? NO.

"I'd like to, thanks Dan."

He's on first name basis with my Dad. That went fast. Please, don't get friends. I don't want him around me. I actually planed on forgetting about my crush and get over him. I hate having unrequited feelings. This crush is hopeless for multiple, obvious reasons. And if he really starts a friendship with my Dad, he will be closer and that won't help me getting over him.

After dinner, we go to the bar across the street. After ordering a coke, I'm on my way to where my Mom and Nicole are standing, when suddenly Alex calls me over.

"Hey." I say.

"So, how's school?"

"It's okay. But I'm glad that we have holidays now."

"How is Christian as a teacher? " he asks smiling. Did I mention that he stands at the same table?

"He's okay."

"I'm just okay?" Mr Richards asks shocked.

"Yeah."

"You mean I'm the best teacher you ever met?"

"No, I don't."

"You're lying because I obviously am." He smirks.

"You have a big ego, right?"

I'm smirking while Alex laughs at us.

"You'll get detention after holidays." he answers with an evil grin on his beautiful face.

"We are outside of school so you're not allowed to."

"We'll see." He smirks.

"Okay, drop it guys. Shots? " Alex laughs and Christian agrees with him.

"I'm underage, remember?"

"One is fine but don't tell your dad." He winks at me. I smile.

While Alex gets the shots, Mr. Richards.. I mean Christian comes closer and whispers in my ear: "You look beautiful tonight."

Just to make it clear. I understand that people get confused about her age and the drinking. I'm originally from Germany and you're allowed to drink wine and beer with 16 and hard liquor starting with the age of 18. So I grew up with teenagers starting to drink wine and beer with 16 and try out liquor around the age of 17, even though it's not legal until your 18. I know that this must be confusing to people (for example Americans) that have a legal drinking age of 21. So even though Lynn is drinking under 18 doesn't make it right. This is a fictional book and I myself was only 16/17  when I wrote this so that was the time for me, where this whole drinking phase started. I do not encourage anyone to drink here. Have in mind that this book is made up. I'm sorry if this whole topic confused anyone. I also realize that this is a difficult topic.
