I walked down the gloomy streets of Brighton, the street lights reflecting on the streets. Brighton Rock cafe was in the distance and I couldn't be more nervous and terrified, what will I say?

I needed to plan this while I had time, I would go in there. No hug, no nothing, I will just sit down quickly and act like friends... friends, I can do that.

Then I'll pout my lips, acting like I don't care about what he's saying so then he'll get sick of me and will never want to see me again.

No, Zoe that's just stupid.

God! What am I going to say? I was outside Brighton Rock Cafe, I had to face him and see what he has to say.

I walked in and looked around, Jack was sat at one of the tables. He looked different, like he got a completely new look.

His hair was messy when normally it's combed back with gel. It was tied back with a bandana, making strands of hair go crazy and fly out.

He wore a grey sweater and black jeans, normally he would wear a black tshirt and baggy jeans. He's a new Jack.

"Hi," I mumbled, giving him a small wave. "What did you want to talk about?" I said, sitting down on the chair when he was going in for a hug.

Plan 1, successful.

"Um... yeah," He said, fiddling his fingers as if he was deep in thought. "So... you're dating Alfie now right?" He asked, picking up his beer bottle and sipping.

At least he knew, but how? How unusual. "Yeah, I am." I replied, feeling the sudden urge of awkwardness appearing.

"That's good... I'm h-happy for you," He slurred, taking a sip from his glass bottle of beer. "It's weird how quick you can find out things."

"How did you find out? We haven't told anyone yet."

"No, Alfie sent me a message confirming that you two were official a thing," He whispered, his face mere close from mine. "Why would he want to rub it in my face? Because he won?"

"Nobody won Jack, this isn't a game."

"I wish you chose me, not him." He mumbled, leaning up. His sorry blue eyes gazing into mine.

"I didn't choose Jack, I love Alfie. I know it's hard to take in but..." I said, pausing to take a sip of water. "I still want to be friends with you, you've been a big part of my life. Don't just throw that away because I'm now with Alfie."

"We are friends Zoe, don't ever doubt that," He said, resting his cool fingers on mine, a uncomfortable shiver running down my spine. "Can I ask you a question?"

"Hit me."

"If I did the worst thing to you? Like the worst thing... would you still want to be my friend?"

What a weird question, why would he ask this at a random time? I mean it depend what he did to be honest.

"Well I guess." I shrugged, drinking the free water at the tables. "What a weird question."

"That's not what I wanted to talk about though," He sighed, rubbing his maybe 'clammy hands' on his black jeans. "I didn't come here to express my emotion and for us to end in a hug."

Ouch.

"I've wanted to tell you this for a while now..."

ALFIES POV - 1 hour later

I sat in Zoe's living room, viewing my surroundings. The flat was a reasonable size, great for one person.

I wish I could see Zoe every minute of everyday. She's the most beautiful girl I've laid my eyes on.

I'd never let her go.

What was taking Zoe so long? She should be back by now, the shops are only five minutes away. Why is it taking so long?

I dialled Zoes phone, the constant sound of ringing noise in my ears. "Hello?" A small voice spoke.

Phew.

"Hi babe, where are you? You've been gone for ages." I said, lying down on the very comfy sofa.

"Oh you know, traffic. I haven't even reached the shop." She giggled, aw she's so cute.

"Okay, I'll see you soon okay?"

"Okay... babe." She laughed, before hanging up the phone.

As she hanged up, I realised she said traffic? Traffic? She can't even drive after the accident. She has to wait at least three more months before she can drive again.

She also sounded very giggly, and happy. Was she... no, she mustn't have been drunk. Zoe doesn't like getting drunk.

I sat there for twenty minutes before the door opened again, revealing Zoe, empty handed. Was she fucking kidding me? She didn't even go to the shops, she lied to me.

"Hello," She laughed, stumbling in and hugging me from behind and kissing me on the cheek. The smell of vodka radiated of her, going into my nostrils making them flare. "What's wrong?" She pouted, her head leaning on my shoulder, her hot breath tickling my neck.

"Why didn't you go shopping?"

"I lied," She whispered, holding her index finger on her lips, making a ssh sound. She giggled and stumbled over to the kitchen and poured some water.

I got up from the couch and followed her like a lost puppy. Don't get angry Alfie, she'll leave you if you do, my subconscious reminds me. Be relaxed. "Come on baby, let's go to bed." I said, wrapping my arm around her petite waist.

"You're not angry at me?"

"Of course not, why would I be angry?" I asked, pulling her figure into mine, softening in her touch.

"Because I lied, normally you would flip out or something." She slurred, shrugging her shoulders at her statement.

I kissed her temple and ran a finger down her back, "I told you I'm working on my anger, but we'll discuss this when your sober okay?" I asked softly, swaying her in my arms lightly.

"Okay," She sighed, her head falling onto my chest. "But just so you know, I'm more confident when I'm drunk." She giggled before walking off to the bedroom with a bottle of water.

I took out my phone and opened up twitter.

'@Zozeebo is crazy!' I typed before sending the tweet for the whole internet to see.

I was up early tomorrow, busy with meetings which meant leaving Zoe here by herself but I think she can cope.

I strolled towards the bedroom, I was ready for sleep to overtake me. When I walked into the bedroom, Zoe was flat out asleep in the bed.

She sure knows how to surprise me.
