"Well... today when I passed out I had a nightmare," I said, intertwining our hands and soothing my thumb on his palm. "It was strange to be honest, but felt so real."

"What was it about?" He asked, lifting our hands and kissing each knuckle.

I sighed before continuing. "I was at a club with Jack and I was asking how he was feeling and did he get shot and all that," A single tear escapes my eyes, and I wipe it slowly. "He tells me that we're leaving because I'm acting strange and then there's a gun shot and turn around and there you are holding the gun and I... panicked."

"Zoe, listen to me- I didn't kill Jack, I may hate the guy but I would never shoot a bullet to his skin."

"I know you wouldn't, like I said- I panicked." I whispered, shrugging my shoulders.

"Just... don't worry about it okay? You're getting worked up about something that hasn't happened," He reassured me, turning onto the motorway. "Your going to see Jack, I think you would be okay by yourself, right?"

"Right, thank you Alfie for this, I couldn't have asked for a better boyfriend." I smiled, stroking his hand. I was right, Alfie was the perfect boyfriend, it was almost too good to be true. Sometimes he would take me out my nightmare and transform it into a dream.

I only know that one day everything will change, my world will turn upside down and then... then I'll don't know what I'll do. What if he finally realises that I'm not the girl he wants and he just leaves me.

I lean my head on the window and I feel my eyes becoming droopy as I fall into a deep slumber.

"Zoe, honey. We're here." Alfie cooed into my ear, I opened my eyes to a blurry vision and it finally adjusted to Alfie.

"How long was I asleep for?"

"Throughout the whole journey, apart from the start." He laughed, unbuckling mine and his belt. I got out the car to a sharp breeze.

Alfie walks over and wraps his arm around my waist leading me into the hospital.

The hospital is warming and my shivering begins to stop. Alfie takes my hand and slips my ring of my index finger onto my marriage finger. "What are you doing?"

"They're not going to let you up unless your a relative or partner. Say your his fiance," He said, kissing my cheek. "I'll see you later, alright?"

"Okay." I whispered, kissing his lips softly before turning and walking to the desk.

"Hi Ma'am, what can I do for you?" The lady at the desk said, her brown hair was curled back into a messy bun.

"I'm here to see Jack Harries."

"Are you family or-"

"Fiance." I interrupted her, twirling the ring on my finger.

"Okay, top floor room 505." She smiled, before handing me a piece of paper and I walked into the elevator and pulled out my phone.

I swiped and opened up messages, typing to Alfie.

'What are you doing while I visit Jack? x'

He replies almost instantly.

'I'm at a cafe down the road, text me when your finished, alright? I'll see you later, x'

The elevator dings and I slide my phone back into my pocket. I walk into the elevator, a sweet freshner is spreading around the corridors. Room 505 isn't as far as I thought, it was literally just beside the elevator.

I knocked on the door before a weak voice allowed me in. I open up and tears automatically fill my eyes.

There laid Jack, his hair pushed back, his face is pale white and the bags under his eyes are prominent. There laid Jack, but it wasn't the Jack I saw a few days ago. "Oh my God." I gasped, running over to the bed, sitting beside him.

"Zoe," He whispers, it probably pained him to speak.

"Ssh," I hushed, putting my hand over his. "Don't speak I know it hurts you." I run my fingers through his hair, a hot tear spilling down my cheek. "Who did this to you?"

He shook his head, and linked his hand with mine. "We shouldn't worry who hurt me, we should be happy that I'm okay." I pulled a chair over to Jack, and took a seat.

I breathed out, pulling a chair from the desk in the corner and pulled it beside Jack. It gave me a little flashback from when I was in the hospital and Alfie was by my side every step of the way. "I fainted."

"You what?"

"I fainted when I found out about you being shot, I thought you were dead." I admitted, and it was true. When you get the bad news, you think negative. It's logic.

"I thought I was dead too," He whispered, he sat up a little in his bed, and held my hand. "There's something I should tell you, and I don't know how'll you'll react."

ALFIES POV

London was breezy tonight, I could tell you that. I took my vlogging camera out my pocket and hit record. "Hello guys! I realised I haven't recorded for you guys in a while," I said, taking a breath since I was walking quite quick down the street. "I'm just in London right now and I think I'm going to pop into a cafe, I'm waiting for Zoe right now..." I paused, should I tell them about Jack? It's quite a private subject.

"... She's busy right now, sorting something out. Anyway I think I'm going to eat here." I said, adjusting my camera to the small cafe, Baines. "So I'll catch you in a bit." I turned off my camera and stuck it in my pocket.

I opened the cottage style door to a dimly lit cafe, a teen couple is sat in the back booth, sharing a strawberry milkshake. I take a seat by the window and take my coat off.

I open up my phone and send a quick text to Zoe. *thinking of u x*

"How can I help you?" A female voice speaks. I look up to a woman in her thirties. She's wearing ripped jeans and a tank top along with a sleeve of tattoos.

"I'll have a mocha please," I said, she wrote it down before walking away. I opened up my phone and tweeted a quick tweet. *Hanging out in Baines!* and I took a quick picture of the table candle.

I peaked around me, and the couple were still in the back. the girl looks over and her eyes widen. "Alfie?" She says, and walks over. "Oh my good, I'm a big fan of your videos- could I have a picture?"

"Of course," I said, she took out her phone and took a quick selfie.

"I can't believe I didn't notice you walk in, are you here with Zoe? Is she okay?"

"Yeah she's fine, she doing something right now, but she's okay." I confirmed, the girl sat opposite me, her so called boyfriend has walked out. "He's not a very good boyfriend, leaving you here like that."

"We're not actually dating, we've been trying to work this out for a few months now." She said, shrugging her shoulders. I could tell this was a touchy subject for her.

"Let me guess, he cheated?"

"You got that right, but-" I was interrupted by the sound of a ringing phone. It was Zoe.

I clicked the green button and pressed it to my ear. "Hey babe,"

"Alfie, could you come over here? Like right now." She sobbed into the phone, that's what it took for me to pay for my mocha, say goodbye to the girl and run to Zoe.
