Emily's hidden potential

Y/N POV

I was in the training room sparring with Emily. We attacked each other and met in the center of the room, struggling for power.

Emily: You've gotten stronger.

Y/N: Ozpin said I had to. Losing isn't a option.

I slashed at her knocking her back against the wall. I held my hand out and she grabbed it pulling her up.

Ozpin: You're improving at a tremendous rate.

I look over to see Ozpin and Weiss walking in.

Y/N: Thanks. I appreciate your praise.

Mina: Hey.

Y/N: Mom! Your back!

Mom just looked down not responding.

Y/N: Mom, what's wrong?

I looked at Ruby and Blake for an answer.

Blake: We saw the leader of that organization.

Y/N: Really?

Blake...It's...you.

Y/N: Um...what? Blake, that doesn't make any sense.

Ruby: It is you, but from another dimension.

Y/N: If it's me, Mom should easily defeated him. Mom is so much more stronger than me.

Mina: I'm afraid it's far more complicated. He's so strong and he's still growing.

Y/N: M-Mom? You could beat him, right?

Mina:...

Y/N: Mom, you are a legend. The strongest Huntress to graduate from Beacon. Completed every mission, beat every opponent. You could win, again.

Mina: I'll be honest. I just don't know.

Ruby: He killed his own without even touching. How could we win when he has that type of power?

Emily: I'm gonna go for a walk. I'm going to try and wrap my head around...this craziness.

Emily POV

Emily: (mind) Absolutely insane! Mom came back looking very pale! There's this destructive power! And it turns out my enemy is my brother! What's next, the moon falling out of the sky! After all that's happen, I won't be surprised.

I over heard something and curiosity got the better of me. I hid behind a nearby pillar where I could hear the conversation.

Coco: Velvet, that can't be!

Velvet: I know, I know, calm down.

Coco: Calm down! How could I?! You just told me that you like Y/N!

Emily: (mind) Velvet likes my brother?

Coco: Velvet, Y/N is my best friend AND he likes Weiss.

Velvet: I know that!

Coco: I could tell that Y/N likes Weiss. A LOT.

Emily: You can't be more correct.

I got out from behind my pillar and walked towards them.

Velvet: Emily?! How long have you been there?

Emily: Long enough to know you're head over heels for Y/N.

Velvet: What?

Emily: I wonder what Y/N would when he finds out.

Velvet: NO!
