Y/N POV

I was setting up the table with Jaune and Weiss while Ruby, Ren, Amber, Nora, and Emily was cooking the food and Qrow went to look for Huntsman and Huntresses to help us with our mission. Soon, Qrow came back with a couple familiar faces.

Qrow: We're back!

I looked over to see Yang, Artoria, and a kid peeking from behind Artoria.

Y/N:...Yuki?

Yuki: D-Daddy?

Weiss:...

Artoria: Go, Yuki. Those are your parents.

Yuki slowly walked away from Artoria. I kneeled down and held out my arms. Yuki ran to me as I wrapped my arms around her.

Y/N: Yuki!

Yuki was tearing up.

Yuki: D-daddy!

Weiss: I can't believe she's here.

Weiss slowly walked over next to me to get a better look at Yuki. Then she hugged the both of us. After a while, we let go of Yuki. I noticed Artoria and Yang.

Y/N: Artoria? Where's Mom?

Artoria:...I don't know. The last time I saw her was when she was about to fight Ana alone.

Y/N: Alone! Artoria, you know how powerful Ana is! Why didn't you help?

Artoria: I wanted to. Mina wanted me to take Yuki away while she held her off. Then, I never saw her again.

Y/N: Mom is strong. But she knows she can't defeat Ana the way she is.

Artoria: Something seemed different. She seemed stronger...and much more aggressive.

Emily: Aggressive? That can't be good.

Artoria: I'm sorry, Y/N. I couldn't do anything to help.

Y/N: That's not true. You kept my daughter safe this entire time.

Weiss: We could never thank you enough for that.

Amber: Back to Ana. What does she think she'll accomplish by killing you.

Yuki: K-killing?

Amber: Huh? Oh forget it, Yuki. No need to get worried.

Y/N: This isn't something we should talk about in front of Yuki.

Amber: Right.

Time-skip after dinner

I walked with Amber onto the balcony to talk about Ana while Emily and Weiss kept Yuki company.

Amber: So, answer my question. What will she think she'll accomplish?

Y/N: She thinks it will stop Salem from acquiring such power.

Amber: Killing you will stop that? Hehe. Doubt it.

Y/N: And once she kills me, she wants to kill Yuki for the same reason.

Amber:...Y/N. I and everyone else here will not let that happen. We will keep Yuki safe no matter what.

Y/N: Amber?

I looked shocked at what she said before getting relaxed again.

Y/N: Thank you, Amber. You don't know what that means to me.

Amber: But, I don't want you to die either. You and Emily are the strongest here. If either of you die, we'll lose serious fire power.

Y/N: Is that all I'm good for? Being powerful.
