RWBY (Weiss x Reader) The Knight and His Beautiful Princess

Seeing Red

Y/N POV

I was hanging on to my sword at the side of the cliff as Cordovin was still fighting is with her mech.

Cordovin: You just couldn't keep this rivalry between us, could you, Calavera?! You had to rope in children to fail with you!

Oscar: Y/N!

I made it back up to the top of the cliff by using the blade of my weapon to climb back up. I regrouped with Weiss Schnee, Lie Ren, Qrow Branwen, and Ruby

Oscar: (over comms) Y/N, can you hear me? Are you guys okay?

Y/N: Are we okay?!

Oscar: I know, we were supposed to lay low, but listen! I think I finally found a weakness!

Amber: (runs over to us) We're all ears, Oscar!

I looked over to see Emily helping Jaune over to us.

Ren: (relieved) Guys!

Ren runs over to them.

Oscar: The cylinder on Cordo's cannon rotates and locks in a giant Dust cartridge every time she changes attack styles.

Weiss: We noticed.

Oscar: Right, but her missile launcher doesn't lock in, it pops out! Without her shields, one well-placed shot could detonate the missiles while they're still in the launcher!

Jaune: We could destroy the entire cannon... Oscar, that's brilliant!

Nora: Can you... make that kind of shot?

Y/N: The real problem is how many shots it'll take before she catches on. ONE shot is all we get.

Maria: Well, I've got a way to guarantee that.

Maria flies the airship back over to the group g. She stops with the hatch doors open. I ran over to the ship.

Mina: Wait, Y/N! (Runs over) What are you doing?!

I hopped into the airship and heads off to do my part. The others watch the airship heading towards Cordo's mech. I smiled at Maria and Oscar.

Maria: Hey, Cordo! I've got one missile left and I know exactly where I'm gonna stick it!

Cordovin: (chuckles) One missile you say? That's a shame, Maria, because I have plenty!

Cordovin has the missile launcher pop out from the mech's arm cannon while Maria continues flying toward her.

Oscar: ARE YOU TWO CRAZY?!!

Maria: Sometimes the best approach is simply the most direct!

As the airship moves closer, I got into position and aimed at Cordovin's mech cannon. Looking through the scope of my gun, I got ready to shoot.

Cordovin: You!

I pulled the trigger, but suddenly, the missile launcher retracts back into the arm cannon and the bullet is deflected. Everyone gasps in shock.

Y/N: No...

Cordovin: You thought you could fool me?!

She readies the arm cannon again, this time about to fire a lightning Dust attack.

Oscar: Pull up!!

Maria pulls up the airship, but it still gets partially caught in the blast. The rest of the group on the cliff move out of the way. The airship is affected by the electricity, and Maria screams in pain as her prosthetic eyes close shut.

Maria: I can't see! My eyes!

Oscar: No, no, no!!

Maria: Take control!!

Oscar grabs the joystick as he barely gains control of the airship.

Oscar: We're gonna crash! We're gonna CRASH!!

The ship crashed. We all emerged from it coughing. Everyone ran over to the crashed ship.

Oscar: We're... we're still in one piece!

Y/N: Heh...barely...

Suddenly, Oscar hears the stomping of Cordovin's mech. I stumbles and collapsed to my knees.

Cordovin: (laughs) Very clever, but even the smartest apes can't compete with the intellect of man.

I used my sword to stand myself back up. I looked over to the airship to see Maria repairing her prosthetic eyes as Oscar watches in concern.

Maria: Come on, come on!

I looked toward Cordovin with a determined expression and walks forward. Suddenly, Mom came from behind  and takes my  hand.

Mina: Y/N, stop! This is-

I looked back to her and she gasps.

Y/N: Plus trust me...I'm an adult...

She closes her eyes and ultimately relents as I pulled my hand away. I walked to the edge of the cliff and stands face to face with Cordovin's mech.

Cordovin: Surrender for your crimes, and accept your punishment.

Ruby: (defiantly) Not on your life!

Cordovin gasps in shock and everyone looks at me.

Ruby: We're going to Atlas and you won't stop us! Bigger people than you have tried to stop us and failed, but you fail not that, but to see that we're on the same side! We're supposed to use our power to protect people, but you use it to look down on everyone! You shouldn't use it to look down on people, but you should use it to help and protect them! We didn't want to steal from you, but you left us with that to be our only option. Now I'm giving you one last chance to stand down and hear what we have to say.

Silence filled the air.

Cordovin: I've heard enough...

Cordovin then aims her arm cannon me.

Oscar: (reaching out) Ruby!!

Mina gains a look of horror on her face as Cordovin fires up the arm cannon. Suddenly I jumped and flew into the cannon using my air semblance.

Cordovin: WHAT?!!

Nora: He's NUTS!!

Jaune: The missile launcher springs out... but the raw dust gets locked in!

I aimed my gun at the barrel of the cannon as the buildup of Dust. I fired and jumped up to quickly get out of the arm cannon. Suddenly, the arm cannon explodes, covering it in ice and stone.

Cordovin: What?! No! NO!!

As I flew backwards, my Aura runs out and falls unconscious. The next thing I knew, I was in my mother's arms.

Mina: Y/N? Y/N!

I opened my eyes and smiled at her

Ruby: Told ya...to trust me...

The Atlesian airship's engines can be heard coming back on as it hovers lightly above the ground. Maria managed to fix her eyes.

Maria: Oh, don't tell me I missed it!

Cordovin: (struggling to pick up the mech's arm cannon) No! No, no, no, NO!!! You! You're never getting to Atlas! Do you hear me?! NEVER!!! All forces converge on my position and eliminate these pests at once!

Oscar: Crap!

Maria: Everyone on board! We're making a run for it!

Jaune: What about Yang and Blake?

I heard a huge roar and looked back past the mech and my eyes widened in horror at what I saw.

Y/N: A...l-leviathan...
