The Start of a New Journey

Y/N POV

I was out taking a walk into the forest to clear my head.

Y/N: *sigh* How am I supposed to get stronger then a Maiden. And why is she trying to kill me? I looked up to her, admired her. I wanted to be just like her.

Time-skip

A couple of months went by and I was getting ready to leave. I was gonna take me and some others to Haven.

Weiss: C'mon. You have to reconsider.

Y/N: You're not going to change my mind.

Weiss: Then let me come with you!

Y/N: Weiss! Someone needs to watch Yuki. And we very well can't have Yuki come with us. She's a baby. And what's more, you're still not in top condition.

Weiss: Y/N––

I ran up and hugged her as tight as I can.

Mina: It's fine.

I saw Mom leaning on the doorframe.

Mina: Take Weiss with you.

Y/N: Huh? But Yuki?

Mina: I'll stay here and look after her for you. The way I am now, I'll probably end up slowing you down.

Y/N: Thank...you.

Mina: But...

Y/N: But?

Mina: I want you to come back safely.

Y/N: Right!

The Team consists of Jaune, Ren, Nora, Weiss, Ruby, Amber, Emily, and me. And we set out to Haven.

Mina: Those kids. They're stronger the. I was when I was their age.

Artoria: They are something. That's for sure.

Ana POV

It was night and I stood on the edge of the cliff looking out to the distance.

???: Long time no see, Ana.

Ana: What do you want...Qrow?

Qrow: I want to ask you to stop trying to attack your brother.

Ana: This is none of your concern. Leave.

Qrow: He has a girlfriend and a daughter.

Ana: I know. But they have nothing to do with me. I need to kill Y/N. Salem will stop at nothing to get him.

Qrow drew his sword and pointed it at me.

Qrow: If you don't stop, I'll make you.

Ana: *smiles and turns around* You think you can beat me.

Qrow: No. But I have to try.

I unsheathes my katanas and got into my fighting stance. He charged at me and slashed at me, but I blocked with one of the katanas and attacked with the other which he quickly dodged, but I sweep his feet from under him and elbowed him smashing him into the ground.

Ana: Don't tell me that's all you got. I was really hoping to have a real battle.

I was about to end the battle and kill him, but before my blade reached him, he turned into a crow and flew back before turning back to normal and looked at me with a glare.

Ana: Well, that's new.

Qrow: You're stronger then last time. But I can't let you get to Y/N. He won't stand a chance.

Ana: And neither will you.

We charged at each other and clashed.

Qrow: You won't make things better by killing your brothers. In fact you'll make things worse. *pushes back on the swords*

Ana: What are you talking about? *pushes back*

Qrow: If you kill Y/N, that won't stop Salem. They'll go after his daughter instead.

Ana: Huh?

Qrow noticed I was off guard and pushed me back and I fell to the ground. I stared at the ground trying to come to terms with what Qrow said.

Ana: After...my Niece?

Qrow: Don't you get it. Yuki is defenseless. Just a little baby girl. And by killing her father, you're leaving Yuki with no one father. And Weiss won't be able to take care of the kid alone.

Ana:...

I stared at the ground saying nothing and tears formed in my eyes.

Ana: I-I-I don't k-know what e-else to d-do!

Qrow: Ana? *walks toward me*

Ana: Stay back! *pushes him away.

I slowly stood up with tears in my eyes ready to attack.

Qrow: I know I don't stand a chance against you, Ana. You're the strongest Maiden alive. Strongest than Cinder, than the Spring Maiden, and stronger then the Winter Maiden.

Ana: I slowly backed away.

Qrow: You know what the right decision is.

My eyes started glowing yellow and my Maiden power sprung out of control and it was setting everything within a mile radius in flames.

Qrow: Ana?! What are you doing?!

Ana:?! Get away!

Qrow: I won't leave you here!

He started to run towards me, but I surrounded myself in blue flames so no one could get near me.

Qrow: Ana!

I fell to my knees while I'm the fire and started to started to cry.

Ana: P-Please understand. I-I love my b-brother.

Qrow: Get out of those flames and you can make it up.

I stood up.

Ana: Leave.

Qrow: You'll get engulfed in flames.

Ana: These flames don't hurt me...but they'll hurt you if you get any closer.

I stared at him through the flames. I soon turned around and walk through the flames on the other side and ran.

Qrow: Ana!!!

I jumped off the cliff, and was heading straight to the hard ground. But before I hit the ground, I opened a fire portal and vanished into it. Then the portal closed back up so no one could follow me.

I appeared several miles away from where I was.

Ana: I'm sorry, Qrow. I have to do this.

I started to walk off.
