Mina Confronts Ana

Emily POV

It's been a couple of weeks and Y/N has been showing signs of improvement. We went to see professor Lionheart and talked about the Maidens and Salem. I was walking around the city until Weiss called out to me.

Weiss: Hey, Emily?

Emily: *turns around* Oh, Weiss?

Weiss: What are you doing?

Emily: Just walking around. Trying to clear my head. Is Y/N doing better?

Weiss: He's doing much better.

Emily: Good. That's a relief. Ana doesn't need to try and kill him.

Weiss: Doesn't Ana think he's dead after that.

Emily: Probably, but we could never be too safe. That reminds me, I got to contact Mom and let her know that he's fine.

Weiss: How could you do that? Without Beacon tower, we don't have global communication.

Emily: I'm one step ahead of you. Artoria last Semblance allows her to communicate from far distances without a scroll. All I have to do is think what I have to say and she'll get the message.

Weiss: Wow, that's useful.

I started to think of what I want to say.

Emily: (Artoria, Y/N is safe. Could you pass this on to Mother?)

I opened my eyes hoping it worked.

Artoria POV

I felt something trying to contact me and I heard Emily's voice.

Artoria: So, Y/N is safe.

I went to walk to Mina who was taking care of Yuki.

Artoria: Hey, Mina? Y/N survived.

Mina: That's great.

Artoria: Isn't Yuki in just as much danger and Y/N. Coming from the same bloodline, I assume Yuki will inherit the powers.

Mina: That's true. She's only a year old. She can't defend herself yet.

Yuki was sleeping laying her head on Mina's lap. So she couldn't hear anything we were saying.

Mina: Well, I think——

Mina stopped mid sentence.

Mina: Excuse me for a minute.

She walked out and it got me feeling concerned.

Mina POV

I walked out of the house and saw Ana in her hood.

Ana: Oh, so you did know I was here.

Mina: My Semblance allows me to detect danger.

Ana: Danger? But I'm your daughter.

Mina: But your intentions are all to clear. No that you tried to kill Y/N, you're making sure Yuki can't be taken. Well, I hate to break it to you, but I'm not letting you get your hands on her.

Ana: Tried to. I did kill him. And it's for the girls own good.

Mina: Girls own good?! There's nothing good about killing a little girl.

Ana: I'm sorry, Mom. But you leave me no choice.

Ana charged at me with her weapons in hand. I blocked it and held her in place.

Mina: Artoria! Take Yuki somewhere far away! I'll hold her off!

Artoria: Right!

Artoria grabbed Yuki and took her away from this place.

Ana: Damnit! Out of the way.

Ana pushes me to the side and went after her. But I rammed her on the side making her fall down.

Mina: I...won't let you get your hands on my granddaughters.

Ana: You don't understand. You don't have a choice. I'm a Maiden.

Mina: I'll die before I let you get your hands on her. She's just a little girl.

Ana: So be it. It's time for the legendary Mina's downfall.

Mina: Hate to break it to ya, but I don't plan on dying today.

We ran at each other and clashed making a big crater. We struggled for power and Ana overpowered me and pushed me back. She threw her chains at me which wrapped around my waist. She threw her chain up and down to crash me into the ground. Instead, I landed on my feet and yanked the chains toward me making Ana lose her balance as she was yanked towards me. I slashed her with my sword making her stumbled back.

Ana: Well, you're still strong for an old lady.

Mina: Old lady? I'm maybe not in my youth anymore, but I'm also not old.

Ana: Time to get serious.

Ana eyes glowed yellow as she ran at me. In swung at her before a white light appeared.

Artoria POV

Artoria: That should be fat enough.

I took a seat on a rock still holding a sleeping Yuki in my hands.

Yuki: M-mama? D-daddy?

Artoria: She must miss her parents.

I moved her white bangs with my finger to reveal her closed eyes. Her eyes slowly opened resembling Y/N with her E/C eyes.

Artoria: Yuki. Your parents are fighting to keep you and the world safe. Your parents are heroes. Weiss Schnee and Y/N L/N. That reminds me of something, I wonder what your last name is. Oh well, I suppose we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I sat there looking at the blue sky.

Artoria:...Yuki. How about Yuki L/N. I like the sound of that.

Ana: Give me the kid.

I looked up and she was standing on a branch of a tree.

Artoria: Huh? Ana. Then Mina––

Ana: Just wasn't strong enough. Now last chance, give me the kid and no one else has to get hurt.

She jumped down and slowly started walking towards me. I held Yuki close not letting Ana get her. She drew her swords and pointed one at me.

Ana: I said...GIVE HER TO ME!

I slowly backed away.

Ana: Don't even try to run away. I'll catch you no matter what.

I drew my sword and stuck it in the dirt and threw some dirt over Ana allowing me to get away.

Ana: You just don't get it.

She opened a fire portal and walked out in front of me making me stop. She ran at me, but she was blocked by Yang with her robotic arm.

Ana: Tch. Nuisance.

Yang: Run! Go to Y/N and the others. I'll hold her off.

Artoria: Be careful. You have no idea what she's capable of.

Yang: Don't worry about me! Worry about that child.

I ran the other way and headed towards Haven.

Artoria: It's going to be quite the ways to Haven. I hope I make it in time.
