- You can live with me.- said Simon.
For the time being i am living in Magnus apartment but his relationship with Alec is getting serious so they need their space. I moved back to the institute, but whenever I slept there, it just reminded me of times when most people didn't trust me, when Valentine made me believe that I was his son and that my mayor of Life was staying by your side.
The shadowhunters got snappy whenever I set foot in and say I even enjoyed the times when I didn't live in the same space as my work. So since Simon's flatmate Jordan moved in, I've been sleeping every once in a while.
And since his apartment is not that far from the institute, I can go to work on time. In addition to sleeping at Simon's, I have been with him for a long time, as he now accompanies us on some missions. Your help is always welcome, so when we have to go to the Seelies council, we take him with us, because the queen likes him so much.
He was in the middle of a mission and was accompanied by Izzie and Simon. The mission was to kill a demon from memory and save the mundanes, which we are not used to, but this demon was stronger than the ones we have faced, as it was fighting more than was expected for its species.
It took longer than usual, but we could get it over with in no time and we could get out of here sooner. Today we had all agreed to go to dinner at Taki's Diner.
The Taki's Diner is a Downworld café or restaurant in Manhattan, New York, frequented by several Shadowhunters, Downworlders and even some mundanes. It offers food and beverages for all of their varied clientele, aside from a selection of food for mundanes. There is also a section on the menu that lists food for downworlders, such as animal blood for vampires, raw meat for werewolves and whole raw fish for seelies.
It's the only place everyone can eat, whether mundane or not. Also, who manages it is a friend of ours, so we have some discount on food.
We arrived and waiting for us was Alec, we went to his edge, leaving a place beside him for her boyfriend, Magnus Bane. Minutes later Magnus and Clary arrived who sat down and seconds later we ordered our food.
"You know you can always sleep in one of my guest rooms," Magnus said when Alec asked me if he would continue to live in the institute.
The truth is, I didn't want to, but I had nowhere to go without being there. Shadowhunters don't make that much money, the only thing we have is what our families drop us off or on paid missions, which aren't quite that much.
- You need your privacy. That way you can date at ease without having to worry about my presence. I get ready here! I always did, and meanwhile, I still have my room at the institute.
"You can always come live with me," said Simon, taking his glass of blood.
- With you? Do you really think?
- Why not? After all, you spend more time in my house than anywhere else, you sleep in your apartment almost every night, just bring your clothes and belongings and you have a room. Why don't we make your move official?
- When could we do this?
- Tomorrow morning .... Today we go to sleep and tomorrow we take care of household things, your things and some mundane food, because my fridge only has bottles of animal blood.
Looks like it's official, I will definitely move home to Simon Lewis tomorrow!
After dinner we went to pay the food bills and went with Simon to our apartment. I have a feeling I'm going to be much happier living here with him than when I was at the institute at all hours of the day. As it was late, I went to sleep and Simon went to do the same thing, although vampires didn't sleep much.
In the morning I woke up hungry, so I got out of bed, got dressed, and went to the kitchen, where Simon was just making me breakfast.
"Good morning." I said sitting at the table and Simon just turned to me, smiled and turned back to the stove.
- Good Morning. Come and so we can start by getting your stuff from the institute and then we go to the supermarket.
I ate the pancakes Simon made me and they were delicious and then we left home. I went to the institute, opened my bedroom door and started packing my things. It didn't have many things, but what it had filled two rucksacks well.
With the help of Simon's super speed, things got a lot easier than if it was me alone. We left the institute and went to the supermarket to buy food for myself and some things for the house and for our hygiene.
