Meet Him

Today was the day I arranged to meet Clay's best friend at the bar where our friend Maia, a werewolf who is part of Luke's pack, works. It looks like he acts there twice a week and Clary really wants me to know him, I still don't understand why, but, what can I do?

When I got there, accompanied by my little sister Izzie and there was already Clary at a table with drinks already ordered, so we just went to greet Maia at the counter and went to the table.

Apparently Izzie already knew him and told me he was a person who loved comic bands and these scientific bullshit. Basically nerdy stuff.

- Hello! I want to introduce you to my great friend Simon Lewis, who comes to sing for us some songs that he himself composed. A round of applause for Simon Lewis!

Seconds later he took the stage and had to fix some guitar things. I must admit the boy is very handsome, has brown eyes and dark brown hair and still wears glasses, although Clary told me she no longer needed them for anything.

He started singing and his voice is as beautiful as his physical appearance and almost drooled me to look at him and hear him sing. Three songs later, he thanked him for the opportunity to sing there, as he does every night according to Clary, and then came down and sat next to us in the seat opposite me.

- Simon this is my brother Jace, Jace this is Simon.- Izzie said smiling.

Four years later ....

Four years have passed since the day I met him at that bar and today, we were two years married and I have never been happier in my life. From that day on, when we exchanged our mobile numbers, we started talking many times, almost every day, we started to arrange dates, either just for dinner or for a walk around Brooklyn.

Things were moving at a good pace and I still remember, as if it were yesterday, our first date. It was just a date for a simple coffee, but it went so well that we then arranged another, and then another, and then another until the cafes were few and we needed more time to talk.

Since we were married years today, I had a surprise for him. A few months ago we decided to adopt a child. I was no longer involved in shadowhunter missions, so I had more time and stability to raise a child and we both wanted to build a family together and we are one step closer to achieving it.

We already had the papers signed but some formalities were still missing before we adopted a little three-year-old boy who was in the institution. They called me early in the morning today after Simon left home that the process was over and we could pick up the child today.

So that's what I went to do. I left home and got there and took care of the remaining things so that we could bring our little Christopher to our house. We both passed the grocery store before we left, as some things were still needed for the child, such as clothes and some food.

A half hour later we got home, and I presented the house to Christopher and showed him where his room was and the plan to surprise Simon. These past months we have been spending some time with Chris and he seems to have liked us a lot because when we said we wanted to adopt him he was really happy with the news.

"Jace, honey, I'm back," Simon shouted after entering the house.

- You can come to the guest room, I have a little surprise for you!

"Surprise!" Christopher and I shouted at the same time and Simon just smiled.

- What's up here? How is he here with us? Jace, did you kidnap the boy? You know this will never favor us in adoption roles.

"Can you shut up for a few minutes and open that envelope?" I asked, pointing to the bed where Chris was sitting.

"Jace and Simon Walland,

We hereby inform you that from now on you will be able to come and get your son Christopher home. Congratulations to both of you and I hope your new family will be very happy. "

- I can not! Is he... can we... can we? "Asked Simon, smiling and setting the paper on the bed.

Finally we can be a complete and happy family and I know that having adopted this beautiful boy, will be just a beginning to have the life we ​​always dream.
