Love in Real Life

- Domberto is real? - asked one of the fans.

For those who don't know Domberto is the shipp name that fans give to me and Alberto Rosende, my best friend and co-star in the Shadowhunters series. Due to our chemistry, some fans believe that between me and Alberto there is a secret love relationship.

I mean, they are not mistaken because the truth is that Alberto and I have been a couple for almost six months, but when we started dating, we were not interested that the whole world knew, not out of shame but out of privacy.

Only our three best friends knew the truth, that is, Matthew, Kat and Emeraude, but maybe it was time for the world to know because sooner or later it was going to happen. Having to hide a relationship from the fans is very complicated because we have never been able to go to any public side for fear that they will recognize us.

- Yes, domberto is real.- said Alberto smiling and holding my hand.

Finally, telling the truth to fans is liberating. It is as if a great weight is lifted from our backs and we no longer have to be so careful in our daily lives.

The fans reacted positively to our confession, many of them surprised, most of them confirmed their certainties, but all were delirious with the statement.

- How do you feel now that the whole world already knows that we are together? - Alberto asked smiling.

- Happy. Not having to hide what I feel from anyone else is liberating. Now we can walk wherever we want, I can grab your hand in public, kiss you in public.

After meeting with the fans, we went for a walk in the park until nightfall. Then we went home, prepared our dinner and after watching a little television, we went to bed.

Knowing that I can go with him wherever I want and not have to worry about hiding what we have and how I feel about everything and everyone is really the best feeling in the world. Tomorrow was a very special day, exactly two months ago I invited Alberto to come and live with me and tomorrow would be the day when I asked Alberto to marry me.

I did not want to make a very staggering request because it was not our scene, I asked for help from Kat, who stayed to spend the afternoon of my boyfriend, while me, Eme and Matt decorated our house and prepared a special dinner.

When I woke up, I didn't feel Alberto with me so I thought it was strange, but I was more rested when I heard footsteps in the kitchen. I got up, put on my tracksuit, because I didn't plan to leave the house and went to him.

- Good morning babe .... It smells really good.- said giving a kiss on his mouth.

- Good morning then sit at the table that is ready.

We had breakfast and he told me he was going to spend the afternoon with Kat, which I already knew, but he didn't need to know. As we always woke up a little late, we just stayed on the couch watching TV until lunch time and after lunch, he went to get dressed and I was waiting for my two best friends to plan the surprise for Alberto.

- I don't come too late, try not to miss me very much.- Alberto said when leaving the house.

- Impossible ... But have fun. Kat, take good care of him!

Minutes later I heard my doorbell ring and thought it was Alberto who had forgotten something, but in fact it was Eme and Matt.

"Ready?" Asked Matt, smiling.

- More could not be. Well, I don't want anything too eccentric, just a simple but romantic decoration. For dinner I'm going to prepare seafood rice, which he loves and you could help me make that delicious oreo mousse, Eme.

- Of course yes! We're at your service this afternoon, Captain!

In the space of three and a half hours we managed to prepare everything, I just needed to go to the jewelery shop to get the engagement ring, as it had been ordered and only arrived this afternoon.

- I'm going to the jewelry store, do you want to come with me? I'll pay you lunch!

- You could have started there.- Matt said smiling and we left the house.

We arrived at the jewelery store and luckily the ring had arrived. I showed them both and they said it was beautiful and that Alberto would love it. It was not a very feminine or dressy ring, it was just a silver ring with our initials.

All ready, I just needed to change my clothes and wait for him to get home. I was wearing my nightgown, when Kat sends me a message saying that we had just arrived at our apartment and that he was going up the stairs, that meant that the time had come.

- Dom, I'm here. Wow!! This is all wonderful and smells so good!

- Everything for you, my love. Let's eat? I made your favorite!

We had dinner, we ate the dessert that was divine as always and the time had come for me to propose, but I was very nervous, I can even say that I was sweating a little.

- Alberto, I have a surprise for you. I want you to know that since I met you that I knew you were a very special person and that we were going to get along beautifully. At the time, I just didn't know we were going to end up like we are today, but the day you asked me to date and the day I asked you to come live with me were the best days of my life and I can't imagine waking up without you. So, Alberto Rosende, do you make me the happiest man in my life and marry me?

- Is this for real? Dom, you are not playing with me, no, because if it is a game I swear to God I will leave you here alone.

- I never spoke so seriously in my life!

- Of course I accept!

Finally I have everything I ever wanted in my life, a home, fantastic friends, a wonderful career and most importantly a person with whom I can share everything and who in a few months I can say that is my husband.

This all happened, because in 2015 I made the best decision of my life, which was to accept the request to join the cast of the Shadowhunters series.
