The Request

"I want you to be ready at half past seven."

It's been two years since Jace and Simon started dating, and today the blonde had a surprise for his better half. Simon thought it was just a birthday dinner but Jace had prepared more than that.

At first they didn't get along with each other, because Jace thought he was annoying and when he became a vampire, the blonde's feelings began to change. He thought that to be a novice vampire he got away with it very well in that world.

POV JACE:

After Simon's move, came the drills and after that the missions. It was just to accompany us but then it helped a lot in the resolution of the missions. Whenever I had to go on a mission, I would call him to go with me, either because they told me to do it or because that was my will.

Being with him on missions was good but it wasn't enough. I started to want to be with him later and we spent more and more time together. We were always in each other's company until one day I realized that what I felt for him was not just a friendship, he was more to me than just a friend or a best friend, it was like nothing made sense if I didn't. were with him.

Everyone knows that if they need one of us, it was enough to know where the other was. This lasted four months and I knew I had reached my limit so I invited him out and he accepted.
That day two years ago today happened and was the happiest day of my life, two dates later we were taking over our relationship with our friends and our parents. Simon's mother was the only one who took the longest time to accept our relationship because she had always thought that her son would marry a woman who a few years later could have children so that the Lewis family would grow, but then realized that the happiness of her son was with me and had no choice in accepting me into his family.

My plans were almost complete for today. Everyone already had their mission to accomplish. Clary, who was his best friend, had a mission to distract him. Izzie would go with me to buy the ring to ask my boyfriend Simon Lewis to marry him. Alec and Magnus helped to decorate the room where we were going to have dinner.

Magnus had given up one of his luxury apartments to make dinner so we'd be more comfortable and I can never thank him for that. Right now I was at the urives to pick the ring and I'm glad you brought it with me because who better than Izzie to help me.

The rest of the afternoon went running and I was at Simon's door to take him to our dining room. He thought we were going to a restaurant but I told him that I had to go to Magnus's apartment first because I had forgotten something.

The night was going well, and the time had come to place the order. I had trained so much for this moment but nothing I trained had not entered my mind. Well it looks like I'll have to improvise.

- Simon, how can I tell you this ... We have known each other for two years and it has been the happiest years of my life. With you my life has been better and I feel a better person for your house. So far my existence was only for the missions and nothing else. I left one mission and entered another without thinking about anything else but today I know that my life comes down to more than that. I have no way of doing this but what I am trying to tell you is that I can't imagine myself without you so Simon Lewis wants to make me the happiest man in the world and will you marry me?

After placing the order, I took the small box that was in the pocket of my coat, opened the box showing the ring and he got tears in his eyes.
