Is this the Real Cupid?

Another day in Shadowhunter's life, Jace Wayland / Herondale / Lightwood. Jace was part of an elite team of combatants against demons. Only the best belonged to his team, these are his "brothers" Alec and Izzy and his friends Clarissa Fairchild and Simon Lewis.

The team is also joined by Magnus Bane, the most powerful warlock in Brooklyn. Luke, a former shadowhunter who was turned into a werewolf and has since become the leader of the pack. And Maia, a werewolf who was recently transformed but who is an active member in the pack.

After all the problems that Valentine caused in the Shadow World community, his death came to bring positivity in the life of Sahdowhunters again and things started to return to normal, that is, the concern was not to defeat Valentine but to save the mundanes and kill the demons.

Jace had been quite affected both physically and psychologically by the events that happened with Valentine but he was slowly returning to normal and that "achievement" was due mostly to Simon. Although not very friendly at first, they managed to put aside the differences and are now very friendly and extremely close.

Many people think that Jace and Simon have, if not a hidden love relationship, at least strong feelings for each other. Jace's brothers are no exception, but neither Jace nor Simon ever confirmed everyone's suspicions.

POV JACE:

It had been a very quiet week, which was weird but it felt good to have time to stroll around Brooklyn without chasing monsters trying to kill innocent people. We were getting ready to go out to dinner all when we heard noise coming from the operating room.

"Orange warning!" Shouted one of the Shadowhunters.

- What's up?

- Disturbances near the Brooklyn Bridge.

- Okay, me, Jace and Clary are going to see what's going on and however if we need a backup, we communicate. Izzy please tell Magnus to come here, we may need your help and Simon too.

- Okay, please be careful.

We used the portal to teleport to the bridge and saw a person with giant white wings and a bow and arrows. The arrows had different colors on the tips and around that person there were people kissing. We didn't really know what was going on, but we had to find out.

"Drop the bow and arrows and turn to us!" I said but it took him a few seconds to do so.

"Who are you?" Asked Clary.

- It is not obvious? I'm Thonos, Cupid's older brother.

At his feet were two people lying down and with holes in the heart area and each of them had their hearts on the side with bite marks and if we noticed Thonos' face, there was blood coming out of his teeth.

After a good few minutes of fighting between us and Thonos, we managed to capture him and take him to the institute because we had never dealt with Cupid or his family.

"So who is this again?" Asked Simon, looking at Thonos behind the glass wall.

- Thonos, Cupid's older brother. It seems that he has taken Cupid's arrows and every victim he hits with the arrows is killed. The way for him to kill the victims is to take their heart away and eat it, "said Alec.

- Disgusting! I'm a fan of blood, but eating people's hearts is not hygienic!

- How did we kill him?

- We don't know yet, we've never dealt with this type of problem before. I have to do some research. However, what kills cupid is to shoot an accurate arrow in the heart. But we're dealing with a more powerful relative than him, I don't know if it would work.

- We do it that way, Magnus can use our library for research. Within an hour if we still have no news, we try with the arrow in the heart. If that doesn't work, he will remain stuck here, so we will have one more chance to try and kill him, "said Alec.

An hour passed in an instant and Magnus was still unable to give us correct information that could kill this monster, so we were going to blow the arrow in his heart. Alec was the best with bow and arrows so it was him shooting and some blood came out of the wound hole and he looked like he was dead, but we couldn't be sure.

Seconds later we noticed that he was not dead and that he was more furious than ever and that would not be good for us, especially because he managed to detach himself from the handcuffs and fired a red arrow at me.

At first I didn't know what effects that arrow would have, but then I started to feel the urge to tell everyone my feelings about everything and everyone. It was as if everything I truly felt, wanted to leave at the same time.

- I already know how to kill him, he has to eat a heart that has ingested a special powder. I teleported to my apartment and got the powder, but how do we do with the heart?

"Do you have to be human?" Asked Simon.

"No, it could be an animal, but why?" Magnus asked more in the blink of an eye Simon had left there and returned with a heart that looked like a cow or pig in his hands.

Oh he is so smart and handsome ... Those canines .... Ui Ui Ui! What? Jace, stop thinking about these things now! Focus on the mission! We managed, with some effort, to finally kill him but I still wanted to shout to the world what I felt.

- The effects of the arrows that he launched only stop making sense after 2 hours of the death of Thonos! So in the next two hours, Jace, you're going to want to admit everything you feel without being able to lie.

"Does that mean that if we ask him anything about how he feels about a particular subject or person, he will have to answer the truth and nothing more?" Asked Izzy with an evil look.

- Yes! It will be stronger than him, but why?

- There are some things I always wanted to know and if it is not now, I will never have the same opportunity. Jace, dear brother, how do you feel about the situation you went through with Valentine?

- It hurt a lot at first but I'm fine. You supported me and I love you so much for that.

"Wow, I've never seen him like this," said Alec, smiling.

- And how do you feel about Simon?

- Izzy leave the boy there ...- began Simon but Jace interrupted him in an instant.

- Simon is the love of my life!

SIMON POV:

After Jace admitted that he liked me, I couldn't think of anything else, but I had to talk to him. I waited two hours for the effects of the arrows to pass, because if he really likes me like I said, I want him to admit it without the help of love potions. I knocked on your door, went in and sat next to you.

- Is the effect over?

- Yes! It looked like it was going to explode with so many things I wanted to say. I never imagined myself in that situation.

- It is true? What you said?

"And what exactly did I say?" Asked Jace nervously.

- That I was the love of your life? Jace if it's a lie, you have to tell me now! I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of all these people if it's not true what you feel!

- It's the truth, I just never imagined telling you that way. Yes, you were the person who supported me most in Valentine's situation and you are the person with whom I feel closest. I admit that at first I just felt a friendship, but my feelings have changed ... What about you? What do you feel?

- The same, I always felt it from the first day! It never changed, in fact it just got stronger.

- This means....

- Yes, we are together!

That said, he grabbed my face and planted a long, passionate kiss on my lips.
