Timeless (AU)

Before being Jace Wayland, a Shadowhunter with very good mission results, he had a dream of opening a record company, not of those super famous, but of those who are the first to believe in a young man who has potential.

And my dream has been a reality for almost two months and we already have nine signed artists in our company. Our most important collaborator is my friend Maia. Despite not working for me, she has contact with young artists who are going to act in the restaurant where she works.

Today she announced that she had a possible client, but that I had to show up at her restaurant at night because he was going to act. And that's what I did! I admit that I had arrived a little after the agreed time, due to a last minute mission and unfortunately I didn't come in time to hear the boy.

- Sorry for the delay, but I had a mission and I couldn't say no .... You know how these things are!

- Calm down, I realized, but don't worry that he just went to pack his things and is already drinking something. So you have an opportunity to talk to him and get to know him a little.

While waiting for him to appear, Maia brought me a dog and a beer.

- Thank you for waiting for me ....- said someone behind me and I could have sworn on my feet together that I had heard this voice before, but where?

I slowly turned to the voice and when I saw it, I recognized it almost immediately. I mean, he was much older, but he was the same as when I first met him.

- Simon Lewis?

- Jace?

If you ask me how I know Simon Lewis, I explain. Simon and I were schoolmates and good friends even. Before I knew that I belonged to a beautiful, powerful shadowhunter, I was a perfectly normal child. Every day I went to primary school, played with my friends and then left, sometimes I went to Simon's house, sometimes to mine.

Simon was one of the first children I met and we became friends quickly. For many years we were inseparable, every day we were together. You never happened to see one of us, without the other right next to us, and that was what made me like to leave the house and go to school.

Until my fifteenth birthday, things changed and my parents gave me news that was going to change my life completely. This was that I was a Shadowhunter, so I completely abandoned my "mundane" life and started living at the institute, along with the other shadowhunters teenagers and where I met my current parabatai, Alec Lightwood.

But no friendship I had during my career as a shadowhunter could compare to the friendship I had with Simon. So when I saw him at this moment, in front of me, in the restaurant, I started to remember the times when we were friends.

"So what do you two know?" Asked Maia, making me go back to the present.

- Yes, we were schoolmates for some time.- replied Simon smiling, but I could see that there was something that bothered him, I just didn't realize what it was, yet.- So you always fulfilled the dream of opening a record, very well Jace Wayland.

SIMON POV:

My name is Simon Lewis and right now I have a complicated decision in my life, on the one hand he has hurt me in the past, but on the other hand, it is my musical career that may be starting and I do not want to miss this opportunity. After Jace left the restaurant, I also left and went home.

"So how did the show go?" Asked my sister Rebecca, but I call her Becca.

- Very well, there is a record company that wants to sign a contract with me, tomorrow I have a meeting there.

- Simon this is great!

- Yes, it is my dream, but there is a big problem.

"What is it?" Asked Becca, confused and curious.

- The record owner is Jace!
