part three

"BARRY? BARRY CAN you hear me?" Anna said as she pushed a button on her tiny earpiece, her eyes darting around quickly as she searched each building she ran by. "Barr?" She asked nervously and skidded to a stop once she finished searching all the buildings as many streets as she could.

"Anna? Hey, I'm here," Barry replied softly, causing the brunette to sigh in relief. "And guys, I can't find it. I can't find the bomb."

"I can't either, guys," Anna said once she pushed a button on her earpiece, letting out a sigh of frustration. "We need your help."

"There's nothing on traffic cams or CCTV," Caitlin responded.

"I retasked S.T.A.R Labs' satellite to scan the area for incendiary devices. A bomb that large should be giving off some thermal or chemical signature," Cisco said over the sound of one of Shannon's portals opening and closing behind him. He cleared his throat and exhaled. "Swift—Rupture is back and she has what you requested," he whispered.

"Thank God," Anna whispered and sighed in relief knowing her father and half-sister were safe at S.T.A.R Labs. She skidded to a stop near her partner and smiled softly at him, giving him a small nod as she rested her hands on her hips.

"Why can't you find the bomb?" Barry questioned, whipping his head around quickly.

"Because it's a trick. The bomb's not there," Harrison stated.

"No. It has to be. I'm gonna keep looking," Barry said and looked at Anna, causing her to shrug her shoulders.

"That is what he wants—you two and the police to keep running around in circles. There is something else going on, Barry. I can feel it. Trust me," Harrison explained, but Barry just shook his head and sighed.

"I'm gonna keep looking." And with that, he took off.

"Hey, come on!" Anna called out and chased after her partner, muting her side of the comm once she heard a click on the side that allowed her to talk to the team at the Cortex.

Anna chased after Barry, dodging around cars and buildings as she tried to catch him but he had too much of a lead. She closed her eyes for a moment and exhaled deeply, focusing all her energy on her feet. Once she opened her eyes, they were glowing with white and blue lightning. She leaned forward just a little more and felt herself moving faster, the world around her blurring more than it had ever been before.
