family of rogues
part three

ONCE ANNA HEARD the door close a little while later, she opened her eyes and looked at the tiny gold-tinted bullet in her hand, narrowing her eyes at it as she moved it around between her fingers. She pushed herself to her knees and crawled over toward Barry, shaking his shoulders. "Barr," she whispered and furrowed her eyebrows, pressing her lips together. "Barry, they're gone."

Barry opened his eyes and looked at the bullet in his hand. He slowly got up to his knees and rested his hand on the side of Anna's face, stroking his thumb over her cheek. "Thanks for not dying on me," he whispered and leaned forward, pressing a quick kiss against her lips.

"Right back at you," Anna said and let out a small laugh, pushing herself up to her feet and helping Barry up, too. "How did we not see this coming?" She asked and looked toward the door that had closed on them just a minute before.

"I don't know," Barry said and ran his hand down over the back of Anna's head to her back, dipping down and pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "But we gotta end this before they get away," he said and grabbed her hand tightly, leading her down the hallway at the speed of light as he pulled out his phone and dialled a number.

"Barry, I—"

Barry skidded to a stop outside the building, tugging Anna's arm to stop her as well. "Cisco, how you doing with Lisa?" He asked, cutting Anna off before she could mention her upcoming death. "Alright. We need that bomb out," he said not even a minute later and then bolted away from their position, coming back a second later with his suit on.

Anna did the same, bolting away from where she was standing to change into her suit that she had hidden in a duffel bag within a large vase that was outside the building as decoration. She skidded to a stop in front of her boyfriend and slapped on her mask, sealing her identity away. "We gotta get this done, Barr," she said over the sound of sirens blaring inside the building.

Barry nodded and rested his hand on the side of the brunette's face, running his gloved thumb over her cheek. "I love you," he whispered and smiled softly before disappearing in a flash of lightning.

Anna chased after him quickly, following behind his trail of lightning all the way up to the 27th floor. They stopped inside the room after phasing through the door, eyes focused on the two Snart men.

"Only place you're going is back to Iron Heights, Lewis," Barry threatened and clenched his hands into fists at his sides, squaring his shoulders at the same time that Snart raised his gun into the air.
