THE WIND BLEW through Anna's hair, sending a sheet of brown across her face as a chill ran down her spine. She leaned forward, glancing down at the rushing water between the two cliffs in front of her. Her stomach knotted up and she stepped away, shaking her head back and forth. "Nope. Absolutely not. No, ma'am," she said and turned away from the cliff, holding her hands up in the air. "It's a no from me."

"Okay, Simon Cowell. Relax," Cisco said and picked up a rock from the ground, tossing it down into the water. "It didn't look this deep on the map."

"Oh, honey," Shannon muttered and pressed a hand over her face, shaking her head at her boyfriend's words.

"Maps are flat, Cisco! They don't show depth!" Anna exclaimed and turned toward the long-haired boy who was wrapped up in a large blue coat that protected him from the cold breeze.

"This is like a thousand feet deep," Barry said and pointed at the drop just a few feet in front of him. He then turned toward Cisco and a look of fear danced through his eyes that Anna quickly caught as she looked over at him. "Anna's been teaching me what Jay taught her. I can get faster that way."

"Has it been working? No. No, it has not," Cisco said and shrugged his shoulders, looking back and forth between the two speedsters before walking back toward the tent set up just a couple yards away. "And you both wanna get faster, maybe plummeting to your death is the motivation you need."

"So, to reach escape velocity, you're gonna have to go..." Harry began as he walked toward the two speedsters, his eyes glued to the notepad in his hand where he wrote down numbers quickly. He raised his brows and showed the two speedsters the notepad, causing their eyes to widen at the large number. "That fast."

"Ho-lee sh—"

"Well, that fast is impossible. I can promise you that," Barry said, cutting off Anna before the swear word could leave her lips.

"Ah, ah, ah," Elizabeth spoke up and walked up to the two speedsters, handing Anna her mask. "The only thing that's promised in life is death."

"Mother, why are you quoting Kanye West?" Cody asked and furrowed his brows at his mom, scrunching up his nose. "Don't do that."

"If it makes you guys feel any better, Evel Knievel cleared a line of cars that was twice this long, and he didn't even have superpowers," Cisco said and shrugged his shoulders, holding his hands out at his sides. "Ah, unless you count that sweet-ass ride."
