"Get back here!" The man shouted, his lackeys running a foot behind him.
Civil was panting at this point, his lungs ached with every breath he took and he wasn't sure where he was anymore, all he knew as that if he stopped running, he would be beaten.
His breaths were so louder and erratic that the air that was hitting his lungs was in short heaves, giving him an intense head rush. His feet slammed against the stone ground like a broken trumped, the echoes of the 3 men chasing him close behind him.
"Your going to die!" One shouted, his voice booming down the narrow alley ways.
Civil whimpered loudly as he ran, his eyes frantically looking for an escape but his mind was in a panic and none of his thoughts became coherent. Civil glided around the corner gasping in fear, hoping he was losing them with his many turns and twists he was using. As he ran down a second passage way, sprinting as he could down the narrow way until he saw the brick wall ahead of him.
"No, no, no, no, no, no!" He cried, his feet skidding to a stop as his hands hit the wall.
He desperately searched for a way out, his hands rapidly patting the wall as his mind reeled with the realization he was at a dead end.
"Fuck!" He cried, his heart thumping wildly in his ears.
He turned around to run back another way, but the figures slowed down and cornered him like a stray dog, backing him into the edge. His head snapped between the men that circled him, he felt like a rabbit being stalked by wolves, ready to fight.
"Your going to pay for what you did to Caleb," the man spat furthest right, his fists clenching as he approached Civil.
Civil couldn't breathe and he tried to regain himself, but they were closing in, he couldn't breathe anymore as he pressed his hands against the walls. His adrenaline surged throughout his body, making his muscles tremble violently. Testing his luck, Civil launched himself away from the wall and ran between the men, escape ahead of him, the end near.
Civil was falling before he felt the pain, until his brain processed the feeling of the cold metal hitting the back of his leg to a point where his bone rattle and fractured, and the pain split up his leg like a broken stick. His scream blurted from his open mouth as his body slammed against the stone, the rough abrasive ground tearing off his exposed flesh and ripping open clothes, his body tumbling around itself. His jaw cracked against the ground, pain shooting throughout his bones into his skull, laying limply on the ground. His body was rattled with agonizing pain and he writhed on the ground, crying from the severity he felt.
"Nice try, asshole," the man laughed, and walked over to Civil, swinging a metal pipe above his shoulder.
The man farthest right walked over to Civil and pressed his foot deep into Civil's back, while the other two went onto either side of Civil, he was utterly pinned. Civil was crying, snot was running down from his nose and sweat drenched his back, the stress of it all making him sound and feel like a pinned animal.
"I wonder if I could break your legs too," he mused, before arching his body in a quick moment, his foot slamming into Civil's stomach.
Civil screamed, but was muffled by the repetitive motions of their fists and feet plunging into his body. The horrific sound of skin hitting skin and Civil's cries were the only thing in the alley way. Soon his body just went with every nasty kick. His screams failed, until he was laying trembling, alone in a pool of his own blood. No words escaped him, all he could do was shake violently as he was unable to process his own pain.
