third person's pov :
ethan leans back against the cold wall, watching everyone scatter with nervousness plastered across their faces and he chuckles, seeing his two friends bickering and fighting over a microphone.
"there's more in the back, bri!" pal shouts
"oh, shut up! i grabbed it first!" bri argues
he chuckles and drops his head, shoving his hands into his dress pants and his loud, black, glossy dress shoes walk over to the two friends bickering.
the two girls spin around, hearing the loud tapping of the shoes and they glare and roll their eyes at the view.
"you're speaking last." pal points
"i know, i know." ethan laughs, putting his hands up in defense
—
while the three friends talk and chat, a woman and a man fast walk up to the building of where the party is being held.
"oh gosh tyler. i'm so nervous. i don't even know if they-"
"nova. it's ok." the man chuckles
she takes a deep sigh and straightens our her long and tight, dark blue dress.
remembering that her best friend said that that color always looks best on her.
she shakes her head, trying to get rid of the hurtful thoughts and flashes on a smile seeing her boyfriend awfully confused by her actions.
"you talked to the fiancé?" tyler asks
she shakes her head eagerly and starts chuckling and whips her hair around, swaying all around the pavement they stand on.
"what are you doing, nova?" he chuckles
"i'm just... i don't know. i guess i'm... happy." she grins
tyler smiles and walks up to his girlfriend, pulling her in by the waist and kissing her lovingly.
"well. always be happy. it looks good on you." he teases
she slaps his shoulder gently and he let's go of her waist, pointing at the back doors of the party room.
"you ready?" he asks
she eagerly nods and takes a deep breath, grabbing onto the cold, metal knob of the door.
a gust of cool wind hits her arms as she walks into the building, making her hug herself. tyler smiles and wraps his arms around her, rubbing back and forth across her goosebumps.
"you ok?" he smiles
she nods and looks over at him, pecking his cheek and smiling as she pulls back.
"i'm speaking last." she speaks up
he nods in response and they soon stop walking, seeing a black curtain in view.
"hayes said he was going to meet us here-"
a man with dirty, blonde hair comes out of the curtains and he straightens his blazer down, staring down at his dress shoes.
he shoots his head up and grins and his eyes widen at the two people in front of him.
"you must be nova?" hayes smiles
she nods gently and opens her arms out wide, coming in for a hug. he obliges and brings her into his arms, hugging her tight and pulling back with a warm smile.
"boyfriend, correct?" hayes asks, pointing at tyler
he nods and chuckles lightly, bringing out his hand for a handshake. hayes slaps his hand away and opens his arms wide, also bringing him in for a hug.
tyler chuckles, still in his arms and hayes pats his back teasingly and pulls back, gripping his shoulders tightly.
"perla is going to freak out once she sees you." hayes says with soft eyes, looking over at nova
nova blushes a dark red and chuckles softly, shy and nervous from his statement.
"so the plan is, you stay out here until you hear ethan speak. you're going after him."
her eyes widen hearing the familiar name but she hides her look with a quick smile and a light chuckle.
"got it." she croaks out
hayes laughs, hearing her nervous response and he gently touches her arm.
"you're going to be fine i swear. they're going to be happy once they see you." he reassures
"i sure hope so." she murmurs softly
both of the men laugh at her small joke and she laughs nervously.
