Dad convinces Mom to let me stay home the next day. I couldn't face the day today. Mostly because of Ashton. I've called and texted hundreds of times.
He's ignoring me. My phone dings and I bolt up to check it. A sigh escapes my lips. Just Bianca.
Bi-
Are you staying home today?Me-
Yeah. HangoverBi-
Is that rlly the only reason, Char?Me-
Well no...I can't face Ashton today!Bi-
He doesn't look too good. Like he got barely any sleep. Want me to ask if Audrey can stop by today? I can come over after school too.Me-
No. It's fine.I shut my phone off and fall down on my bed. Why is he so mad at me? What did I do? "Charlotte." Mom's bitter tone asks. I roll over and look up. She's standing in my doorway in a white ruffled blouse, a beige knee length skirt and black heels. Her hair is pulled into a tight bun and her narrowed eyes scan me in distaste.
"Yeah?" I mumble. She rolls her eyes and stands up straighter, if possible. "If you're going to be staying home today, I would like if you could pick up the house. I'll also be having Ethan stop by to drop off your work for the day." She says coolly.
I sit up and glare. "Why Ethan? Why can't Emily? Do you really hate me that much?" I ask. She frowns slightly. "No. I just think it's time we make amends. That's all." Mom answers. I cross my arms. "Does this making amends plan involve your tongue down his throat?" I retort in a sarcastic voice.
She scowls at me. "I see no need for your sas, Charlotte. I am your mother and you will do as I instruct." I roll my eyes. "Whatever. Have a good day, Mother. Oh, and tell your side man that your daughter says hi." I stand and slam the door in her face before she can respond.
I lock it and stumble back over to my bed. I fall face first into my pillow and eventually fall asleep.

I wake up around noon to somebody ringing the doorbell a million times. Groaning, I head downstairs and swing the door open. I sigh. "Hey Audrey." I greet. She smiles and pushes me aside. I glance down to her arms. "Um..." I trail off. She's carrying tons of bags."How'd you know my address?" I ask, ignoring the bags. She faces me and shrugs. "Bianca. Now, where's your room?" She asks. I chuckle for the first time since the fight and close the door. I motion for her to follow me and lead her to my bedroom. She dumps out the bags on my bed and grabs a remote from my dresser.
Yeah sure. Make yourself at home, Audrey.
I walk over and scan the goodies on my bed. Different ice creams, snacks chocolates and other candies. "Audrey-"
"Shush. Vampire Diaries?" She hops onto my bed, scrolling through netflix. I sigh and climb onto my bed. "Why are you here exactly?" I ask confused. She clicks on TVD and rolls her eyes. "Because my new bestie is upset and I have no school to attend to." She explains.
"What about Lily?" I ask. Audrey frowns. "Lils is mad at you." She states. Oh. "I didn't mean- Who's watching her? Doesn't Alice work?" I ask. "Ohhh. Yeah. She took Lily to the cafe." She tells me. I rip open a pack of oreos and turn my attention to my t.v.
We binge watch a few episodes before my doorbell rings again. I check the time. Two thirty already? It's probably Bianca then. Audrey follows me downstairs and I open the door.
