The morning sun was shining on Nicholas and the wind blaring past his face as he drove to see Emily. Sam completely loved it, his claws hooked onto the outer side of the passenger door, barking joyously. He had spent far too much time with Thomas, but who could blame him, it was his son after all. They had completely bonded and Nicholas showed him what the car could really do.

Pulling up to Emily's shop, he turned off the car. It always saddened him to hear the engine shut down. He stepped out, "Sam uh uh-uh, stay boy."

He shut the door and opened Emily's shop door. She lay on the ground, completely sprawled. Sensing his presence, she rose abruptly; it looked as if she had fallen asleep by accident. Boy did she look like her mother, Nicholas was speechless. Her shop had been destroyed, everything was a mess. She held a chisel in her hand, and she was on him in seconds. The cold metal slid against his neck, very close to penetrating him.

"State your business!" She demanded roughly, boy had she been in a nightmare for the past few days.

Nicholas was speechless; he pushed her off of him making her fall to the ground.

"Em..." he was cut off by her, it sounded as if he was trying to clear his throat instead of attempting to say her name.

"How dare you, fight like a man," she said, as she pulled her swords out from her back. Oh gee, first his son, now his daughter.

"Emily, I am not here to fight you," he voiced gruffly.

"You look familiar, who are you?" she asked warily with her swords still out.

Before he could reply, Sam ran into the shop, happily tackling Emily to the floor and giving her kisses all over.

She tried to block the ones to her face, "S-s-sam?" She asked getting to her feet, and slowly coming to realization.

Kicker ran in, hearing the excitement from outside. He ran and attacked Sam playfully. Sam being much larger, played back nudging him with his nose and barking, "Ruuf!" Sam knocked him onto his back, only for Kicker to get back up and further attempt to annoy Sam.
