Swords clanking, and their feet moved restlessly. Nicholas's eyes never left Gaube's, he watched his every move. Hate he had never felt towards any man, but Gaube filled his veins. One second Nicholas would be on the offensive move, the next he would be defending himself, boy was Lord Gaube good. No wonder no one has ever made it through one of his matches alive.

The match had gone on for a good ten minutes, before Nicholas had backed into a torch, allowing for Lord Gaube to stab him through his right shoulder. Gaube smiled, and stepped backwards as Nicholas began to drop against the torch, which held into place only slightly bending with his body.

Sam whimpered, and the guard holding him actually fell for it! Bending on one knee to pet the dog, "There there boy," he said.

Sam went for his face, ripping it completely off to reveal blood and muscles underneath. The patch of skin that was once his face fell to the ground and the guard screamed in agony, afraid to grab his face. The other guards surrounded him as Sam ran off and towards Nicholas.

"And now, I shall send you to your grave where you will remain for the second time!" Lord Gaube announced, as he rose his sword above his head, slicing it through the air and down towards Nicholas. At the last second, Nicholas pushed himself to the side. Sam was running swiftly up, and he pulled another neck tearing incident that made Nicholas so happy he had him. Lord Gaube, stunned, grabbed his neck as he fell beside Nicholas.

He stared up at him with such pure hatred as his life slowly trickled from his body.

"If only I could have made your death last longer and more painfully, Gaube," he said, his voice low.

Sam ran up and licked Nicholas on the face several times, "Cha Geez boy! Way to get blood all over my face!" Nicholas smiled, then hugged and pet his dog.

Still lying on the floor, black smoke began to curl from one of the torch ends, forming a human figure in the stadium. The devil then appeared a second later.

"I could not miss all of the excitement!" he exclaimed, as he walked over to observe Lord Gaube. "I had to come and collect this soul personally."

Lord Gaube's soul got up and walked out of his body, looking at the devil, and then next to his dead body.

"No! It cannot be over! My plans! I will succeed! I will not accept it any other way!" Lord Gaube's soul cried out.

"Blah, blah, blah," the devil said, as he brought his cane to life. "I have been waiting for you for awhile now; I am going to have fun with you!"

The dragon with the ruby eyes flew around the stadium, as Gaube looked at it, horror filled his eyes.

"Yes, that is right," the devil said, obviously amused.

The dragon then, catching sight of his victim, opened his mouth ever so wide and swallowed him whole.

"Very good," the devil said to his cane.

He then grabbed a hemp paper that was rolled and attached to his cape. Unrolling it, he grabbed a pen and crossed off Lord Gaube's name on the long list of names. He had ultimate satisfaction smug on his face. Names randomly appeared on the list, as if people were committing sins from left to right.

Thomas ran into the stadium, the guards stood, completely shocked with the whole incident, and uninterested in Thomas.

"Father!" he cried out, and ran to his father lying on the floor.

"Thomas," Nicholas said, he was losing blood way too quickly, becoming weaker and weaker by the minute.

Thomas sat on the ground and held onto his father's hand, a tear streaming in his eye, but he held it back.

"You have finally come into our lives again, you cannot leave us again!"

Touched and heart broken by his son's words, "Thomas, my time here ended a long time ago, but I am very thankful that I got to come back and save you and Emily. Emily!? Where is she?"

            "I do not know."

"Lord Gaube said he had Emily and Randi held captive! He has already infected them. Son, Emily is going to die shortly, you must save the cures in order to save your family!"

"What?! He has Randi!? And Emily!??"

"Now is not the time to panic son, go to the cures, they are going to be destroyed out by the river probably."

Thomas got to his feet and turned to run off, before he did, he turned back, "I love you dad."

"I love you too," a smile touched Nicholas's lips as he held back a tear.
