Elisa's POV
I sit across from Kyle in his living room, placing an ice pack to his hand. "First time punching someone huh?" I joke.

"I did not know punching someone, could hurt you too," he grunts.

I giggle and he hisses as the ice hits the bruised part. "Your so stupid," I whisper.

"I'm sorry for ruining our date," he says, softly.

"It's okay," I say. "I probably would've acted the same if it was a waitress."

He laughs. We both look up at the same time and Kyle leans in and kisses me.

He goes to pull away, but I grip his shirt and pull him in for a long kiss. He smiles into the kiss and grabs the back of my neck. His tongue laps mine and he shifts me so I'm sitting in his lap. The dress that I was wearing drew up to my upper thigh and I shiver when his over hand drew circles on my bare leg.

Then it was ruined.

I jump away from Kyle as I hear someone clear their throat. I blush when I realise it was Kyles Mum.

"Hello," she says. "I'm Mary," she introduces herself. "And you are?"

"Elisa," I say.

"Pretty name," she murmurs. "Kyle has never mentioned you before."

"Mum!" Kyle groans.

"You are so much better than that other girl Tiana," Mary says.

"Fuck sake," Kyle grumbles.

"Are you two dating?" Mary asks.

I bite my bottom lip and look over at Kyle. "Yep," he answers. "We are."

Mary squeals. "Oh I'm so happy."

She hugs me and I flinch surprised.

"Mum let go of her," Kyle hisses, after five minutes of her hugging me.

Mary pulls away and sheepishly rubs my shoulder. "Sorry I'm just excited. Kyle's never had a girlfriend before."

Kyle groans and his head falls back against the couch. I giggle. "I better go," I say. "I told my dad I would be home by 10."

"Do you need a lift?" Kyle asks.

I nod. "That would be lovely."

"I'll see you later Elisa," Mary says. She hugs me again and then walks away.

Kyle and I walk out of his house and into his car. It was a quiet trip but it wasn't an awkward quiet if you know what I mean. He held my hand on the stick and gently rubbed his thumbs on the back of my hand.

I look over at him and look at the expression on his face as he watched the road. He takes a glance at me and smiles when he sees I'm looking at him.
"We are here," he whispers.

I look around and sigh disappointed that we were in fact at my place. "Thank you," I say.

"For what?" He asks.

"For tonight," I say. "I had a lovely time."

"You mean when we missed our dinner, because I punched the waiter in the face, and then we went to my house, where you met my mother," Kyle explains. "Yeah it sounds lovely."

I giggle. "I still mean it. I had fun."

Kyle leans in and kisses my cheek. "Goodnight glasses."

I smile. "Goodnight stupid."

I get out of the car and walk over to my house. I turn back and see Kyle watching me. I smile and give him a wave before I enter my house.

"Dad," I shout, hanging my coat up on the hanger. I walk into the lounge room and find him fast asleep on the couch. I grab a blanket and wrap it around him. Something drops off the couch and I pick it up.

A book.

The front cover was blank and so was the back. I open it up and read the first sentence.

To whomever it may concern,
I, Jacob William Parkinson, Give all my wealth and belongings to my daughter Elisa Jane Parkinson

"What the hell," I whisper.

Why is my dad writing his will?

I stand up and press a kiss to my dads head.

"Why are you cold?" I murmur. I press my index finger to his neck and my heart drops. "Dad!" I yell and start shaking him. "Daddy please wake up," I whimper. "Don't go," I whisper and snuggles up to him. "Daddy please," I sob.

The rest of the night I snuggled up to my dad's dead body, crying.
