The one where they've tried everything (PJM)

"Oh Jimin, what are we going to do? He doesn't want to come out!" Hazel huffed, out of breath and frustrated. She massages her large and sore bump, which protruded out extensively. She winces as she rubs the small of her back.

"Just be patient, baby. Maybe he's just not ready yet."

"But I'm ready." Hazel grumbled. It's been a week since the due date and they were well on their way to a cesarean if they couldn't induce her labor.

Jimin helps her to the couch, which she has been spending a lot of time on in the latter part of her pregnancy, mainly because she found it difficult to push herself up from the couch and it was hard to travel up the stairs to bed. Especially if she'd have to come back down, anyway.

She rubs her temple, clearly quite stressed about the process. She waited, for a long time she did to have this baby. But it was taking a toll on her. Pregnancy was extremely taxing, and in Hazel's case it was almost debilitating. Not to mention she still had to find the energy to take care of their older son Minseon and get things done, especially for work. Jimin coos at his wife, "Ah, Button, don't be too upset. There's still things we haven't tried yet."

He takes her hand, wanting to cheer her up. Hazel huffs again, "What else did the doctor say we could do?"

"We can try the oils, more intense exercise, spicy food." Hazel had shook her head at all but one, she perked up at the sound of 'spicy food'. Throughout the entire pregnancy she'd been craving spicy foods, but Jimin wouldn't let her have any knowing she'd overdo it, as he learned in their first pregnancy.

Hazel had been drinking all sorts of drinks and vinegars, most of which were bitter and made her gag. She has been doing weekly exercises - specifically pilates and yoga - throughout the pregnancy, though less intense than what she'd normally do had she not been pregnant.

She bats her eyes at her husband pleadingly, pouting her plump bottom lip at him. "Jimin..." She cooed, he sighs, knowing she was pulling the cute card on him. And it wasn't fair. What was he supposed to do? Tell a pregnant lady no? He liked having his balls attached, thank you very much.

"Yes, Button?" He sighed in defeat, Hazel didn't even have to ask him yet and he already knew.

  "I want kimchi." She admitted.

Jimin chuckled, "Button, you know you can't just have kimchi. You need to eat it with something." he reminded her, Hazel, in her hungry and pregnant state, could sometimes be a little brainless. She had totally forgotten that kimchi was a side dish, and really shouldn't be eaten alone. Especially for her, she'd need more in her diet.

"Spicy noodles, too." She pleaded. A bit of her bashful smile showing as he winked at her. He got up from the couch to whip up spicy food for his wife, who waited patiently in the sitting room for his return.

Jimin stared in utter shock and awe as his wife placed her bowl of food down on the coffee table, lying down on the arm of the couch with a few sniffles. He had warned her to take it slow considering she hadn't had any food that wasn't neutral in several months. However, Hazel had suddenly gained a new appetite and ate way quicker than he thought possible. She'd never been a greedy person, nor was she someone that despite being ravenous, ate quickly. Even in her last pregnancy.

He takes her bowls and favorite chopsticks to wash them, and upon his return she was still lying as he left her. "Feel anything yet?" He wondered.

She sighed, her voice a tad bit hoarse, "Well, it cleared my sinuses, at least." Jimin cooed, sitting on the couch and rubbing his wife's back for comfort. She'd claimed her sinuses have been terrible as of lately and it's been two months. There isn't much she could do about it really, considering that she couldn't just take over the counter medicine, which they had plenty of. Her only hope was natural remedies, though her immune system hardly accepted any of those solutions considering it was working to protect the baby. Jimin had served her plenty of steamed pears with honey, which only worked temporarily on her.

"It may take a while to work, Button. Let's try to be patient with this. I know it's frustrating and difficult but I don't think the baby wants to be rushed." He suggested, hearing her sigh deeply. Hazel didn't like feeling so terribly for so long, but she knew her husband was right. He laces his fingers through her smaller ones, offering a gentle smile. Jimin didn't like seeing Hazel have to endure so much pain for so long, he knew full well that pregnancy was taking it's toll on her and her energy was diminishing by the day. She was worried especially because she wanted to try having the baby naturally (she had a cousin die of complications with a C-section, and it may be unlikely but it made them hold off on having kids for a long time). The thought of a cesarean alone made her nauseous.

Jimin rubs her tummy, her bump was moving on it's own. He chuckled as the bump responded to his touch immediately, despite the minimal pressure that he applied to it. Hazel's eyes were shut, but she wasn't sleeping just yet. Jimin decided now was a perfect time to play the little game that he and baby Jae had come up with. He did the same thing when she was pregnant with Minseon. It was quite simple, really, and it ensured the baby was active, at least a little bit.

Hazel watched with hooded eyes as Jimin tapped her belly twice, and in that place the baby nudged twice against his fingers. He slid his fingers gently across her tummy, which used to make her quite ticklish, and the infant followed. If you looked carefully you could see their tiny hand poking out from beneath her skin. The baby tried making a fist, as if to grab his little finger from the inside, though of course that didn't work. The baby seemed to show frustration, as it started to kick and move it's little hands around.

Hazel had been watching with a smile faintly present on her face until that harsh kick. She winced, moving her hand beneath her bump. She shut her eyes again, "Jimin? Could you take me to bed? This couch is uncomfortable." She asked, and her husband pulled her hands up gently, supporting her back. He moved slowly, as Hazel couldn't waddle very fast. She grips him, resting her head on his shoulder because she was getting lightheaded. Jimin was relieved to be sure it wasn't hunger making her lightheaded like last time. She had a hard time eating much last pregnancy and he didn't want a repeat of that.

He lays her down, promising to come back after he checks up on their older son. He was in his room sleeping in bed peacefully. Jimin sighs as he closes the door, shuffling back to their bedroom where Hazel was still lying. She seemed to relax a bit, at least.

Her eyes were still closed, and she didn't have to look at him to know he was back already, despite how quiet he was being. "Minnie, could you do me one last favor?"

  "And what's that, Button?"

She moved her hand to her waist wordlessly, and Jimin already knew what she meant. She claimed it helped to apply pressure on her hips to 'counter-act' the aching pressure she was already feeling. It may have been a contradictory method, but Hazel felt that it worked for her.

He toes off his slippers and lies down behind her, Hazel not moving her hand until he placed it on her waist, she told him not to be gentle with it every time she had him do it, and assured him that he wasn't hurting her, despite how much it makes her moan. He was worried about hurting her but Hazel pleaded he use all his strength to push down on her hips.

She sighed, breathing deeply. Jimin kisses her shoulder, "Feeling any better, Button?"

She hummed, pulling Jimin's arms to grip them tighter, making him hug her from behind. She rests her head close to his chest. She seemed a little satisfied, at least. Jimin tries not to adjust his hands too much, careful about his hand placement as he applied as much pressure to her hips as he could without hurting her. Though she didn't seem to be in any pain.

She moves her arm beneath her bump, "I can feel him moving down..." She observed, and Jimin paused for a moment.

"Really? You think the pressure is working that well?" She nods and puts his hands back as they were, relaxing again as he squeezes her from behind. She closed her eyes soothingly, Jimin sighed, wishing he could do more. But right now, there wasn't much else they could do since they've tried everything they could. At least, for now, she could have some peace of mind.
