One of the crew members sets down a tray of fruity alcoholic beverages on the small table between the couple. Hoseok and Grace look up and thank the young employee before grabbing their drinks and clinking their glasses together.
Grace lies back in her white deck chair, stretching her bare feet out along it and sipping from her straw. She sighs contentedly as the cool beverage works it's way to her stomach.
Hoseok leans up and looks at his wife. God, he loved that he could call her that now. The ceremony was a beautiful one, there was some speculation that the weather wouldn't be on their side that day, which wasn't very good news for a simple beach wedding. However, the sun was shining but not too hot or bright, and the cool breeze brushed from the ocean's waves. And Hoseok could recite his vows feeling a bit more reassured that everything would turn out just as he planned. All he had to worry about was not fumbling over his words or dropping the ring into the sand beneath their feet.
They held their reception directly after, which took place on the yacht they were currently on. The yacht party was incredibly fun for everyone, plenty of dancing and complimentary food. There were hardly any problems that Hoseok could recall. Finally, he could let all that pressure and stress he had out on the dance floor. Their first dance as a married couple was a memorable one. It was probably his favorite dance he's ever done with Grace, despite the simplicity of it. The way he held her in his arms with her pulled tightly into his chest, the vibrant hues of the sky mixing and changing as the sun slowly set on the horizon. It was a moment he knew he would treasure for a long time. Jimin got really good pictures of it on his polaroid camera, which he said he would make copies of and give to them.
The reception had ended an hour ago, and the boat was no longer docked, slowly wading in the ocean water, headed toward a nearby shore where they would continue their honeymoon. The beach had drifted away, only the glow of lights from the closest city barely visible in the vast dark night. The ocean water was a dark shade of navy-black, and it gently rocked the boat side to side. But most of all, the stars lit up the sky, twinkling and dancing, the moon was completely absent that night.
"I'm so happy we went with the yacht idea." Hoseok muttered aloud and Grace hummed, a soft tired smile making her face.
"I didn't think you would pull it off, I was joking when I said it."
"I know, but I think you deserve to have the wedding of your dreams. And I had to do whatever it takes to make it happen."
"You spoil me too much." Grace chuckled and Hoseok followed, turning his wandering gaze completely away from the stars. He gives her a look of sincerity, studying her soft and gentle features. They were still in their reception clothes, which were white comfortable outfits. Her reception dress was casual and had lace details with a flowy lace trail, complete with her wedged sandals. He honestly didn't think she could look more beautiful, the way the dark blue hues softly brushed on her features and illuminated her dress. How her dress suited her perfectly, her curly brown hair falling to her shoulders and framing her gorgeous face. She's since taken off her makeup and Hoseok appreciated her natural beauty.
He grabs his phone from the pocket of his khaki shorts, putting on one of their favorite songs. They listened to it when they were cooking together sometimes - well, when he was helping her cook. Grace's eyes lock onto his, watching as he leans up and holds his hand out to his newlywed. "Grace Jung, can I have this dance with you?" He asked in English and she giggled at his adorable accent.
She sets her drink back onto the tray and lifts the lace trail of her skirt with one hand, sliding her other into his. They both stand, Grace squeals as he wraps his arms around her waist and lifts her feet off the ground. She grips his neck in surprise, her bare feet not touching the polished wood flooring until the both of them were on the open deck, looking out over the edge of the boat at the water beneath them. Hoseok didn't move too close to the edge, because it made his legs feel like jelly, but just enough for the both of them to enjoy the vast and endless scenery.
