"Y'all hold on, now," Grace's mother held her hands up before Grace and Hoseok could get up from the comfy white couch. The couple slowly sinks back down into the cushiony seat, looking expectantly at the woman with the deep southern accent. Hoseok was having a hard time really understanding Grace's parents from time to time but was trying not to let it show. Plus he had Grace to translate for him.

"I haven't seen my baby in person for a long time," she started and Grace sighed as her mother was starting one of her long tangents about how fast she grew up. The older woman looks directly at Hoseok, "And Hobi, you've come a long way from home to meet the family. So I figured we'd go on a little trip down memory lane...."

Grace's eyes widen knowingly at the hint her mother was giving. She grips Hoseok's arm, "Momma, no. Please don't do this-"

"Calm down, Grace. I'm sure your sweet boyfriend here has been wondering who all these beautiful, polished trophies belong to!" Joyce, Grace's mother, insisted as she sassily flipped her hair over her shoulder. Hoseok chuckles heartily at his embarrassed girlfriend.

"Daddy, do something!" She pleaded as Joyce got up and went straight to a cabinet, in it were discs with marker scrawled on each case. Her father Nathan shrugs at his helpless daughter, refusing his services to save her from the sheer embarrassing moment she was having to face.

Grace moaned, Hoseok gripping her knee reassuringly, "I'm sure it's not that bad, jagi."

Grace could only moan again, hiding her face as her mother put in the first disc into their DVD player. "Momma, he really doesn't have to see this-"

"Hush, child, let the man see how special you were. He dances, too, he should get a chance to see the things you used to do." Joyce insisted, sitting beside Nathan. Grace's giant of a father putting his arm around her shoulder as everyone looked up at the large HD tv.

Hoseok couldn't help his eager smile as the first tape played, it was obviously dated - 20 years old to be exact. Grace was 5 years old. She looked adorable, he cooed endlessly, especially as his girlfriend groaned and hid her face in his shoulder, murmuring for him not to look. But he couldn't take his eyes away from her younger self's cute face. She was wearing a sparkly outfit and her hair was straightened, done in a neat style. She had her hands on her hips and a smile brightening up her face. The routine music started in the video and little Grace was giving it her all through every eight count.

Hoseok laughed at how adorable she was, and especially at the rowdiness of the crowd - in particular, he heard Joyce's voice behind the camera as she cheered Grace on.

The video wasn't too long, since it was Grace's first ever performance. Already Joyce was on her toes, picking up a large stack of discs she intended to watch. "Momma, there's no way we'll be able to get through all of them!" Grace pried.

"But baby, in this one you were front and center, and - ooh! This one you performed in heels! Oh, and this is your first solo, and the parades-"

"Joyce." Nathan's baritone voice of reason butt in before her mother could continue. "They have a hotel to go back to." He reminded her, Grace was relieved that her mother would at least listen to someone.

Hoseok looked to Grace, a little surprised by all the versatile things that her mother described. "Don't start." Grace told him under her breath, to which he chortled and would let go of it- for now.

"That right there is that attitude, it used to only come out on the dance floor until she started dating and all that-" Joyce ranted.

"Momma!" Grace whined as her mother pushed another disc in, this one being her dance team from high school. She sighed, glad it was something a little fresher in her memory.
