Andrea's P.O.V.
Light streamed onto my face, awakening me from my deep sleep. I rubbed my eyes and then looked to see where I was. At first I was slightly confused, but then all the memories from the night before flooded back into my mind.
I glanced down at the black, fluffy comforter that was keeping me warm. I held it up to my chest and began to examine the room I was in a bit more. The walls were plain old white, and there was a small pile of dirty clothes pushed in a corner. Beside that, there was a small black bookshelf, but it only contained about one or two books. Finally, there was a black dresser which had one drawer overflowing a little bit with clothes.
That's when I heard a knock at the door.
"Come in." I croaked as I started to yawn.
Soon after that, Mason entered into what I assumed was his bedroom. He was wearing nothing but his navy blue boxers, and his body just made him one thousand times hotter.
"Last night you sort of dozed off in the car and I didn't want to wake you because you looked so peaceful..." Mason explained sounding slightly embarrassed. I still had on my clothes on from the night before, except I now noticed he had removed my shoes and set them beside the door.
"Thank you, I was so tired." I stated. Suddenly, a divine smell began to creep up into my nose.
"What is that wonderful smell?!" I exclaimed as I sat up from my sleeping stance. I hadn't eaten anything since lunch the day before, so I was starved.
"Follow me and you'll see!" Mason smirked and gestured his hands out to the hallway. I hopped up and followed him until we reached his black and white themed kitchen. Sitting on the bar were two plates with one pancake and a couple strips of bacon with a small glass of orange juice beside it.
I glanced over at Mason, "Wow, that looks absolutely delicious!" I exclaimed.
He gave me a quick smile indicating a thank you. He slid out a stool for me, and then sat down in the one beside it. I hopped on to the stool and stabbed my fork into my pancake. I gulped down a massive piece of it, and then took a quick sip of my orange juice.
"So, do you live with your parents?" I asked, breaking the silence.
Mason swallowed the piece of bacon he had been chewing, "No - well, not at the moment... My mom recently passed away, and my dad has been out drinking a lot because of that, so he hasn't been home for a couple of days." He looked down and began lightly stabbing his pancake with his fork.
"I'm so sorry - about both things... I really am." I looked down, not knowing what else to say.
I could feel the tenseness of the room, but Mason quickly began talking, "It's okay. At least I have you to make my life a little better." He smiled and gazed into my eyes.
I returned the smile, but I was starting to feel guilty. Mason was talking as if me and him were dating. Not only did I already have a boyfriend, but also we just met the night before... Plus, this was the first real conversation we had ever even really had. I started to feel awkward, and all I wanted to do was go home. I guess Mason wasn't picking up on my vibes because he began to lean in for a kiss.
I started to panic, not knowing what to do. I threw my head down, dodging the kiss.
"I think I wanna go home... Can you take me home now?" I asked nervously. I tried my best to avoid eye contact with him.
Mason's face turned red, and his eyes began to fill with anger and embarrassment.
"Are you sure you want to go home?" He asked desperately.
"Yes, I need to get back soon, or my mom's gonna be worried..." I glanced up at a clock that was hanging on the wall behind Mason's head. It was already 1:17 pm. I might've been partially using what I said as an excuse to get out of the awkward situation, but if I didn't get home soon my mom really would start to get worried, or even worse, mad.
"Are you sure?" he asked again, more firmly this time.
"If you don't want to take me home, I can call a friend to come pick me up..." I began to stand up from my stool, but Mason gripped onto my arm, digging his nails into my skin. He pulled me back down onto the stool.
"You can't leave yet!" He shouted angrily.
"Mason, you're hurting me!" I screeched, trying to pull my arm out of his grip. This was going from awkward to creepy real quick, and I just wanted to go home. I wasn't super creeped out, though. I knew that I had sort of led Mason on, and then just blew off his kiss. I would be mad, too, if it happened to me.
"Mason!!! Please just take me home!" I said firmly.
"I can't do that," his nails dug deeper into my skin. "You can't go back to your boyfriend. He doesn't treat you right! I can keep you safe, here in my arms... Ryan doesn't want you, but I do." HOW DID HE KNOW ABOUT RYAN. My head was pounding, and my heart was beating 100 times too fast. I was absolutely terrified. I just wanted to be at home again, lying in bed with Ryan. I could feel tears pushing out of my eyes.
"Let go of me, YOU FREAK!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I continued to yank my arm, but his grip was too strong. I looked up at Mason. He had a soft smile on his face. He pulled me into his arms,
"It's okay, baby. I'm here for you."
