Ryan's P.O.V.
Claire, the one who merely ruined everything between Andrea and I, was also the same person that helped me the night of the party. She was also the same girl that had just been reported missing. Why hadn't she told me about the night of the party? I had so many questions, but there was one that weighed on my mind the most. Who hit me over the head that night? I wanted revenge, but I knew I had to do my research.
"10 minutes until closing. Please wrap up whatever you're doing on the computer." The librarian sighed annoyingly.
I had been at the library for nearly 2 hours, and I hadn't found anything. I had looked up the license plate number I allegedly saw the night Andrea went missing, but I had to pay money to get information.
"Sir! Please wrap it up!" The librarian stated, no longer whispering. There was no need for her to, considering that we were the only people left in the entire library. There's not many citizens who like to take a trip to the library at eleven at night.
"Can I have five more minutes?" I begged. I was desperate to find something, anything, but I needed more time; even if it was only five minutes.
"Hmm... I guess." She shrugged as she pulled her shirt down over her oddly huge stomach.
I glanced back at the computer screen without even thanking her. I could feel my eyes burning from the overuse of technology, but I didn't care.
I moved the cursor over to the Google search box and clicked. I began to type in Claire Bren Family without even thinking.
The first couple of links that came up were about how she had gone missing. I clicked onto the second page of the Google search. Right when I was about to declare myself crazy and drive back home, my eyes landed on something.
Tyler Bren Sells Illegal Drugs, Sentenced to 7 Years in Prison
I tapped on the article, intrigued, although this Tyler guy may have had nothing to do with Claire or Andrea.
Tyler Bren, who was found guilty for obtaining and selling illegal drugs, was sentenced to 7 years in prison, only to be released by his wealthy parents. Carlton and Demi Bren, parents of both Tyler and Claire Bren -
Suddenly, the screen went black. I looked up to see an enormous figure hovering above me.
"Your times up, kiddo." The librarian sighed.

As I stepped out of the Public Library and into the darkness of night, goosebumps sprouted onto my arms. I hurried down the front steps of the building towards my truck. My jacket was calling my name from inside the car.
Once I slipped into the truck and threw on my blue Westview High hoodie, I stuck the keys in, causing the car lights to flash on.
I slipped my iPhone out from my jeans pocket, and pulled up the search engine.
Tyler Bren Address Louisville, Kentucky
I was onto something, although I wasn't quite sure what it was. I decided to click on the first link, despite the fact that I already knew it would ask me to pay. I didn't have a credit card, but my dad had given me his information in case of and emergency, and this was an emergency, right? I planned on paying him back anyways.
324 Delvine Street
I had a long night ahead of me.
Andrea's P.O.V.
"Good morning beautiful! There's breakfast ready in the kitchen when you're ready." Ryan exclaimed smoothly from the doorway.
My eyes forcibly flickered open, but I could barely see his face due to the sunrise poking in through the window. Air flooded my lungs as I stretched my tired body. After a couple minutes of reminiscing in the comfort of Ryan and I's bed, I finally worked up the energy to sit up. I heard rattling from the kitchen, and that's when the most divine smell made its way into my nostrils.
I shot up from the bed and trotted out into the hallway, my nightgown train dragging behind me.
"Ryan, what is that delicious sme-"
"Andrea! Oh my God, Andrea! I'm here! I'm here to save you!" I heard an unfamiliar voice boom from the front doorway of the house. Reckless knocks followed.
"What the hell is this?!" Ryan popped out from the kitchen and ran towards the front door.
"Andrea, run to the bedroom! NOW!" Ryan shouted aggressively. I had never seen him so angry. I had never been more terrified by him, except in dreams; the dreams I had decided to ignore.
"W-who's Andrea?" I whimpered, more confused than ever.
"God damn it, just get into the bedroom, and lock the door behind you! I'll explain later babe!" I could barely here his muffled screaming over the obnoxious banging coming from the other side of the door.
In the spur of the moment, I decided to listen to Ryan, considering that there wasn't any other options. I didn't know what I was more afraid of: Ryan, or whatever was behind the door.
I slammed the door behind me, nearly causing the house to shake. I reached for the lock and twisted it with my trembling hands.
Suddenly, I heard a crack from outside the bedroom door.
"Where the hell is she?!" The mysterious voice shouted angrily.
"Get the hell out of here! She doesn't want you! She's mine!" I could hear the shakiness in Ryan's voice.
"Get out of my way, psycho!"
A loud crash from the living room made me jump. Tears were tumbling onto my puffy cheeks, and I was gasping for air. I coudln't handle listening to the chaos anymore. I needed to see and know what was really happening, no matter how traumatizing it would be.
"What is happening here?!" I shouted, nearly breaking my vocal chords.
I fell to the ground in tears when I saw Ryan; when I saw my biggest nightmare.
"No, baby, it's okay. Don't worry. He was trying to hurt you! Th-that's why-"
"Get away from me, YOU MONSTER!!" I was gasping for air, trying not to look at the pale, lifeless body that lied in front of me. I looked up at Ryan with red eyes. He was pacing back and forth, trying to wipe the layers of blood that soaked his clothes off.
The sight made me sob even louder. I glanced down at the dead body once again. Although I had never met this person, I felt like my heart was breaking into one million pieces. I didn't know why. I never knew why. I was so sick and tired of never knowing why.
