Moving to a new town, or even to a new state is incredibly hard. The packing and unpacking, making friends, remembering street names and trying to fit in. It was all so hard, but once you get use to it, it becomes easy.

For the first four months of moving to this beautiful town, in this beautiful state, Y/n already felt like she was at home. And with her being a military brat, she never felt like that, so it was a breath of fresh air. The neighbors were sweet and kind, so very helpful, but at some times, a bit strange and kept asking about her house. If her house was settling well with her being there. Which, she didn't understand, at first of course, but at the time, she would just laugh and nod, telling them, "of course," with a smile.

But one day, she figured out what the neighbors meant.

First, it started with misplacing things. At first, she would set something down, walk away for a few minutes, then walk back and the item she left, would be gone. Of course, she would look around, before walking to the room she was in before and spotting it. Then she'd laugh at herself, shaking her head before forgetting about it and going in her way.

But then, it started to happen if she looked away. If she turned her head to look to see ifnshe shut the lights off in the kitchen or her bathroom, and then look back, her keys or even coffee cup would either be gone, or moved somewhere else. Hell, one time she found her keyd in the washing machine after looking for an hour. And she wouldn't have even looked in there if it didn't turn on suddenly.

And for some reason, her mind didn't automatically assume ghost, she thought it was her, until it all changed. She was standing at the sink, washing the plate from last night - she was too tired to wash her plate and fork last night - when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She froze as her head snapped up, thinking someone snuck in, but her house was locked up tight. No one could get in. So, it could've been her imagination. Nevertheless, she ignored it, rinsing the plate and setting it in the drying rack, when she felt the tap on her shoulder again. Whirling around, Y/n was faced with empty kitchen. The only noise came from the tv in the living room. No one else was there.

Y/n closed her eyes and took  a deep breath, shaking her head as she told herself to ignore it. "You're imagining things Y/n..." she mumbled to herself before walking back into the living room and sitting on the couch.

But, not all weird things were left to her house. There was a park, just around the corner of her house and the weird thing, it was always deserted. She didn't understand it. The neighborhood was filled with kids, yet the park stayed empty, and she always wondered why. And she finally figured out why.

After work one day, as she was walking home, she looked over to the park finding one of the swings moving. She figured a kid must've jumped off or something, but when she looked around, no one was in sight. But, it wasn't only that. After a while, if someone gets off a swing, it slowly stops, but this swing, never did. It kept going, not even slowing down. And there was no wind that day, so, how the fuck was that thing swinging. And then, she felt the tap on her shoulder, turning around to see.. nothing. Again, no one was there. And when she looked back towards the swing, it was actually slowlying down. Y/n honestly didn't know what to think, she wasn't freaked out, at least, not yet, but there could be a reason these things were happening to her. So, she did something ridiculous and crazy. She bought a voice recorder.

It was on the weekend when she decided to use it after something personal of hers got put somewhere where it didn't belong. She's never cursed at whatever so much like she did that day and thankfully her curtains and windows weren't open, or her neighbors would think she's crazy.

She put the recorder on the table, letting out a sigh as she turned it on. "I don't know who's here, but I know someone is. Can you please tell me your name?" Y/n paused, giving it a few minutes before stopping the recording and playing it back.

"Can you please tell me your name?" She heard herself say, before quiet, and then a soft female whisper came through. "Demi." Y/n paused the device, looking at it before rewinding and playing it again, hearing the name clearer this time.

She set the device back on the table, trying to calm her racing heart. "Okay, Demi. I'm Y/n, can you tell me why you're here? Are you stuck here or something? Did someone murder you?" Again, she takes a few minutes before rewinding the device and listening to it.

"Did someone murder you?" Instantly a soft, "yes," came from the device before another reply comes through. "Lolo.." Y/n furrowed her eyebrows, wondering who that Lolo person is.

She asks simple question, wondering if Demi knew who killed her, but a 'no' was a reply. She asked who Lolo was, but the entity never replies and it's quiet for th e rest of the time.

But, Y/n gets curious. She heads to the library searching for anything with the names Demi or Lolo. While she does find a Demi, she can't find anything abouy a Lolo. Apparently, in 1912 a older man lived with his daughter, Demi, in her house. The father was a drunk and would often beat her. Apparently Demi was about to take her own life when a family moved in next door with a daughter the same age as Demi. Lauren was the girls name, and soon they were attached at the hips. But soon, it became much more than friends. Many people suspected, but they could never prove it. But one night, the girls were in bed together when Demi's father came home and caught them in bed together. He was furious and immediately started to beat on the girls. Demi passed out first, then Lauren. While the girls were passed out, he took Lauren to the park, under the cover of night and buried her under the swings, then buried Demi in the backyard. The next day, when the cops came looking, he said they weren't there when he had gotten home that night. When he died, a note was found in his possession stating that he murdered his daughter and her lover and where he buried them. Even after all these years, and how close the two ladies are, they still can't find each other and haunt the area.

Y/n was devastated, wanting to help the two women get together, but not knowing how. But she wasn't gonna stop until she was able to help the women pass through to thge other side.

And luckily, it didn't take long to see how to help, and that night, she was setting things up. She told the story to Demi, who Y/n was pretty sure was listening, before telling her she could go, that Lauren would be waiting for her. And soon, she felt the house become lighter. She knew Demi passed, but felt a bit sad, but was happy she got to help a lost soul reunite with her lover.

As months passed, Y/n forgot about all the weird things that would happen and no longer expected her things to move when she turned around or left the room.

And soon, everything was normal.

Until one day.

It was her day off and she was doing her cleaning when a knock came from her door. She furrowed her eyebrows, not knowing who would be visiting, and was surprised to see two beautiful women standing at the door. They felt familiar to her, but she didn't know where she saw or met them from.

"Um, hi. How may I help you?"

"Are you Y/n?" She nods, both women smiling widely before introducing themselves.

"I'm Demi."

"Lauren, or Lolo." At first, the names didn't register in her brain, but soon tears came to her eyes, not knowing how this was possible.

"You're here..." she whispers, both ladies engulfing Y/n in a tight hug, thanking her over and over again as Y/n cried into their arms. Y/n honestly didn't care how weird it was, she was just happy to have these two women here.

So, this was something I don't usually do, I hoped it was okay, ummmmmmm probably no part 2, but I hope you liked it.
