It was past midnight and she still couldn't fall asleep. She counted stars, thought about every boring thing out there and read a bit of book - which had mad her sleepy but it went away as soon as the book was set down - but still, nothing helped.
Y/n pushed the blanket off her legs, letting it fall on the wooden floor as she pushed herself up off the bed and padded towards the deck. The small pond has been a relief for her many times, knowing her dad was watching over her as the waves would lap at her ankles. The water was slightly cooler than she though, sending shivers up her legs and throughout her body.
She let out a soft sigh, looking up at the stars, then looking down when she felt water higher than her ankle. Y/n giggled softly, running her fingers through the water, "hi daddy. Miss you." She muttered and her dad replied by making a larger wave. It made her smile and she felt her body relaxing farther, pondering if sue should just sleep on the deck than her bed.
"Y/n?" She jumped hearing her brother's voice from behind, a small squeak coming out of her mouth, as her hand covers her heart.
"So rude." She shook her head, not needing to look to see Percy has a smirk on his lips. "You're back late, how's Annabeth?" It's too quiet for Y/n and she turns her head to make sure her brother's still there. "Percy?"
He gives her a sad smile. "Annabeth and I broke up." Y/n's heart leaps into her throat, but then immediately feels guilty. She stands and gives him a tight hug, kissing his cheek softly.
"I'm sorry Percy. I know it's hard but I'll be here. Do I need to kick her butt in training tomorrow? 'Cause I will, just say the word." Percy chuckles at his sister, before kissing her forehead.
"No, don't worry. Go to sleep okay? We have that agility training course tomorrow. Heard it's gonna be hell." Y/n nods, kissing his cheek softly before walking back over to her bed and laying down on it, fully relaxing into it and quickly falling asleep.

At breakfast Y/n was ready for the day, knowing she's gonna be sore later that night, but fully welcomed it. Okay, she welcomed it now, but would curse it later that night. "Ready to get your asses beat?" Clarisse walked over with a smirk on her lips, but Y/n ignored her ignorant self.
"Awe, come on Y/n, don't be-"
"Clarisse, back off." Annabeth stood in between the daughter of Ares and Y/n. Y/n ignored the two as they talked and then Clarisse was quickly walking away.
"Hey," Y/n looked up at Annabeth and gave her a small smile, "you okau?" Y/n nodded, thanking her, but the knife wielding teen shake her head.
"She needs to control her temper before it gets the better of her. And you know I'll always habe your back, you've helped me since you came here. I'm your friend, it's what I'm suppose to do." Even though Y/n gave a smile, her heart broke at the word 'friend'. She didn't want to be just Annabeth's friend. Y/n wanted more.
"Still, thank you anyways." Y/n said softly. Annabeth gave a nod before walking away. Letting out a breath, Y/n continued to eat, waiting for her brother to return from wherever he went.
Just as she's about to throw her plate away, the ground starts to shake, startling everyone in the camp, not knowing what was going on until someone screamed they were under attack. Immediately, people started to get their battle gear ready, but it was too late, the metal looking beast broke through the invisible barrier and headed straight for the kids.
The teens training didn't prepare them for this though. How the hell do you kiss this thing, when it rotates around and doesn't get hurt. But if anything, Y/n and Percy were smart.
Brother and sister worked together, trapping and pinning the bull many time, but still not knowing how to kill it exactly. But, something changed in the bull, like it was unable to find it's target, when it landed on Y/n, who cursed quietly before taking off.
No matter what she did though, no matter how sharply she turned the corner, the thing was still right behind her, and it wasn't until she tripped over a root, did it end for her.
The bulls horn plunge into her stomach, a painful gasp coming from her mouth before the bull throws her against the tree. The pain makes her whimper and cry out, her breath coming in pants as she tries not to close her eyes.
"Y/n! Oh my god... help! We need help!" Annabeth yelled as she ran over, dropping down on her knees. Her hands shook as she pressed down on Y/n's wounds, causing the girl to cry out in pain.
"Y/n, baby, you gotta stay with me. I haven't beaten you at the tournament yet. Okay? So you need to stay awake for me, alright?" Y/n was barely able to give a nod as she stared at Annabeth, but her eyes slowly started to fall and all she heard was Annabeth yelling at her, panicking and then warm lips on hers before darkness took over her.

Y/n woke up with a groan, the hand that was holding her's immediately letting go as a voice told her to open her eyes. She winced from the sun when she blinked her eyes open, and when she moved her arm to cover her eyes, a pained groan came from her lips. "No no, slowly hun, you're still hurt."
"Happen?" Y/n's voice was rough and dry, Annabeth handing her a cup of water before telling her what happened.
"I was so scared I lost you, Y/n... you can't do that to me again, okay? I can't loose you, not after... everything." Y/n gave her a confused look, but Annabeth quickly pecked her lips, telling her they'll talk about it later. "For now, you rest, then once you feel better we'll talk. Just know, I love you. Okay?"
A small smile came to Y/n's lips, "you too," is whispered from Y/n's lips before she slowly starts to drift back to sleep again.
I swayed a bit off topic but I still hope it was okay.
