Acting was the farthest thing from Y/n's mind when she was trying to figure out a career. Her parents always thought acting was idiotic, even though it brought in the big bucks and basically forbid her from even thinking about a career in it. Of course, they wanted her to run the families dry cleaning business. Which she didn't mind - steady money really - but she wanted to do something better then getting year old stains out of clothes.
So, she decided on med school, which honestly, was a big stupid ass decision now that she thought about it. Too many sleepless nights, too much coffee, too much shit to study and too many big words that she didn't care for the meaning too. But, it was better than going to business school.
However, while she was out for a coffee run - ironically - is when she got 'discovered'. She had her earphones in, walking down the street as she held her cup of coffee and danced to the music. She wasn't the best dancer, but she does have good moves. But, when someone saw her from their car, it's what set everything in place for Y/n.
Apparently, Kenny Ortega had seen her dancing down the sidewalk and liked what he saw and immediately had gotten to know her before asking if she wanted to be in the movie. He didn't tell her much about the movie, only that it was a Disney movie and was being filmed in Canada. After exchanging contacts, Y/n knew what she had to do. She put her medical degree on hold and then had the scary job of calling her parents and telling them the horrible, yet amazing news. And lets just say, that didn't go well.
A month later, Y/n was flown to Canada and drove to the lot where they were filming. Kenny personally showed her around, going over what was going on today and even let her watch a few scenes before he sent her to get dressed.
But the biggest surprise was finding out she wasn't just a background dancer, she was actually Belle and Beast's daughter and had an older brother, who she could already tell was gonna be in love with one of the kids of the Isle.
Remembering her lines didn't take long, her photogenic memory helped with that, and it most definitely impressed a few people who laughed as they forgot or messed up their lines.
But the best part of being hired, was meeting both Dove Cameron and Sophia Carson. The three ladies immediately clicked and were soon inseparable. But, there was one downfall for Y/n. She wears her heart on her sleeve and trusts people too easily, so trusting those two ladies with her life, was pretty scary. But they were so sweet and kind, that Y/n didn't think twice about it.
When the first movie finished filming, Y/n thought Sofia and Dove wouldn't want to see her anymore, but when the two actresses didn't hear from her in a week, oh, Y/n got an earful from them. How dare she not talk to them! They thought something had happened to their best friend and immediately worried. And that only made Y/n fall deeper.
