The Adventures of Agent 9 (Book 1)

Stealth mode engaged (Coccyx Phase)

After waiting for around an hour Kai and 8 started to get worried. Niki hadn't come back yet or called on her walkie talkie, and they realized that Captain Cuttlefish and both agent 3's were gone.

Kai weakly stood up, wincing from the pain but keeping his balance. He looked around, then up at the hole in the ceiling, and started to get anxious.
      
"Hay 8?" Kai looked over at her, she was sitting down on the floor playing with her long tentacles.

"Yeah?" She looked over at Kai and tilted her head.

"I think we should go after them, they haven't come back or called us on that walkie-talkie." He pointed to one that was sitting on the floor.

"Do you think that they could be hurt?" A worried expression washed over her.

"They could be, that's why I think we should go and rescue them."

"I think your right, Mister Kai"

"You don't have to call me that, you can just call me Kai."

"Oh, ok."

"Are you ready to go?"

"Yeah!"

So 8 and Kai jumped into the hole in the ceiling. After they jumped in they both realized that they forgot their weapons.

"Ah, fish sticks! We forgot our weapons! I think that means we need to try and sneak around until we find something that we can use."

"Yeah, we have to be extra careful!"

So Kai and 8 started to make their way through the stage. There we're moving platforms, and ink that covered the floor, perfect for them to sneak around. As they got through the first few parts, Kai realized something. They could actually Die in these levels because this was real and not a test! They wouldn't come back if they got splatted! A shiver when down his spine.

"Hay 8, we have to be extra careful," Kai said in a whisper.

"Why?"

"Because we could actually die in these phases, their real-life!"

"Really!"

"Yeah, we have to be super careful."

"Ok"

They walked up to the next part of the phase and saw a stream of ink leading behind a wall.
     
"Ok, it looked like we have to make sure our ink doesn't splash because then they would find us."

"Ok"

So Kai and 8 started to make their way through, and just as they were about to get to the end Kai accidentally sped up a bit letting the ink splash. He stood up in the ink as the Octarians spotted them.

"Run!" He grabbed 8's hand and ran towards the end of that part, but it was hard to walk and even harder to dodge their bullets. They got hit a bit but they were ok. Kai winced and looked at his shoes. There was some blood that was leaking onto the floor, but it wasn't really noticeable. Kai's eyes widened as he saw it but didn't let that stop him. He grabbed 8 and walked along with her to the next part of the stage.

They walked over to a pool Of ink conveniently placed for them. There were two Octarians going back and forth from behind a wall. There was an ink rail that they could swim up to get to the top of the platform, above the Octarians. Kai and 8 hid in the ink waiting for the perfect moment to go. After a few rounds of the Octarians going back and forth, Kai stood up and signaled for 8 to run with him. They both jumped into the ink rail swimming up to the next part of the stage.
     
They walked up and around the wall to see two Octarians and two spawners. They had to get over to a line of ink right in between the two Octarians. Kai watched them for a while seeing when to go. He waited and then pulled 8 into the ink and then they made it to the other side. They swam up the ink rail and up to another platform.

They walked up and saw an Octarian patrolling on a line of ink. As soon as it turned around Kai signaled to 8 that they had to move. They saw puddles of there ink on the floor and jumped over to the third one then let the Octarian pass. They then jumped over to the last two and made it to the other side of the stage.

Kai walked with 8 to the next part and there was an Octo sniper behind a moving if the wall. They had to jump from the ink pool to the ink pool to get to an ink rail at the end. They both jumped from the ink pool to the ink pool and made it to the other side without getting caught.
      
They then both wheat down the ink rail and they saw another Octarian that they had to jump over. They waited for about a minute and then jumped past the Octarian and Into a grate on the floor.

"I think we're almost there," Kai said looking at 8 with sweat dripping down his face and his legs shaking.

"Oh, ok"

They saw a moving platform and in Octarian guarding it. They waited for a while then jumped onto the platform and waited till they could cross. They swam over and up a wall that was covered with their ink. They then jumped into a pool that was guarded by two Octarians and passed them.

They were almost done with the stage! They only had a few more parts to pass! They went through the next part effortlessly. They then went through and almost got caught by an Octarian but they were safe and they made to a jump pad.

"We did it! Only like five more stages to go!"

"Yay! Off to save Niki we go!" They both entered the jump pad and made their way to the next stage.
