Brinn's eyes squinted open, "Where....Where am I?"

She looked down at her hands, each one was partially tinted teal with a slight shimmer on top of it. On the other side of the helicopter, an Octoling shouted at another in the middle. The smallest of the three was wide-eyed as she looked at her. Brinn waved, and the girl's eyes sparkled. She chuckled, glancing down at the sight below her. The statue laid face down, sinking into the ocean slowly.

"How did I get here?"

As she looked up, she made eye contact with the male Octoling in front of her. She instinctively looked down at her feet, What if he's dangerous? Wait....where's the Captain?  Her vision wandered over towards the adults talking near her. She heard brief snippets of the conversation, words such as "domination" and "survived" reoccurring immensely.

Brinn stood up and brushed herself off. She was about to go ask the Captain if he was alright, but she felt a tug on her sleeve. The Octoling boy stood next to her.

She turned around, "Hello."

"Um-Uh...I mean- um.."

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"Me is Kai-I mean, hello! My name is Kai!"

Brinn noticed his voice crack as he talked. Cute.

"My name is Brinn. It is very nice to meet you, Kai."

Kai's legs shook as he spoke, "Me. You. Nice too. I mean-" He buried his face in his hands.

"Okay?"

He fanned himself as his face turned red, "Gah! I'm sorry I just- You want to be my friend?"

Brinn paused for a moment. Should I really be making friends with an Octoling? He was from the underground, so he could be dangerous...No. If you made friends with one when you were little, you can stand to make friends with one of them now.

"Sure. It's good to have another friend."

"R-Really?!" his eyes went wide. "I-I mean, yeah! I knew you were going to say yes!"

Brinn smiled, and glanced towards her next conversation. "Well, it was nice meeting you, Kai. I hope we can hang out more. Now, I'm going to go ask what happened."

"O-Okay! Bye! See you later then!"

Waving, she walked towards the two women who were standing near Captain Cuttlefish. She recognized a slight noise behind her, but she realized that it was most likely the wind, and elected to ignore it for the time being. As she walked towards the group, she prepared her mind for what she was about to say. Alright, all you have to do is three things. Address the Captain. Ask what happened. Thank them for their time. There. That's it. No more straying from the conversation.

She joined the semi circle, "Ahem. Good evening, Captain."

"Good evening, whippersnapper!" He slapped her back. "Glad to see that you're awake!"

Brinn nodded and looked towards the two women before her, "Good evening, Miss...?"

"Yo! No need to be so formal! Relax, you can just call me Pearl." She pointed to the taller woman, "This here is the best girlfriend in the whole world! Her name's Marina. She's honestly-"

Marina put her hand over Pearl's mouth, "Pearlie! You just can't say that to other people! Anyways, it's nice to meet you, Agent Three!"

"It's nice to meet you two as well." First one down, on to the second. "Would any of you three like to explain to me what happened below us?"
