Defend the.....Orb? (Peristalsis Phase)

8 and Kai flew through the air and landed on a platform with the Orb on it. They both looked at each other and questioned what to do. They both looked around it and they saw a track where the thing was going. And at the end of it was a plug.

"I think this is like defend the Orb." Kai looked at it and shot it with some ink and then it moved forward.

"I think we have to get it to the end of this track to move onto the next stage."

"Yeah, but this probably means that's there are bad Octarians that will try and stop us," 8 said.

"Ok so we need a plan, but what should we do?" Kai pondered, to try and find an idea in his brain.

"Yeah"

"Oh, I got it!" We can each take turns guiding the Orb while the other one defends it!"

"Good idea! Who goes first though?"

"Rock paper scissors?"

"What's rock paper scissors?" 8 asked Kai as she tilted her head.

"Oh it's basically a game where you say rock paper scissors and then you do one of those options. You don't know what the other Octo, or Squid is going to do so its basically a game of luck. So paper covers rock, scissors cut paper, and rock beats Scissors!"

"Wow! That sounds fun!" 8 said energetically.

"So let's see who defends the Orb first"

Both held out there hands and did out the motions. Kai lost three times in a row to 8. So meaning that 8 would get to decide what she wanted to do first, and she decided that she wanted to push the Orb first.

"Ok, are you ready to go?"

"Yes!"

So then they started. As 8 pushed the Orb Kai to defend it. The first part of the stage was pretty easy because they were doing it together. At some points, there were Octarians to the left and Kai and to rush over to the other side, and it didn't help his feet.

Finally, it was time to switch. Kai started to push the Orb for part of it. 8 quick got to work to defend off the Octarians. She was a lot faster than Kai, probably because she doesn't have as many aches and pains as he did, but then again she was younger.

This part was a little harder, they need both of them to pitch in at some points, but they made it through. And then they had to swing again, and Kai was ready to splat some octarian.

The stage started off easy, he had to turn off all the lasers, and they had to avoid the bowling ball-like things. They got through the first two easily but then it got harder, but they kept up. They were both scrambling to do there parts, but the managed.

After a while they finally did it they saw an outlet on the other side where they had to plug in the platform. They both worked together in pushing the orb, and did that when they got there. They plugged the orb in and they had the opportunity to go to the next stage, and they were ready. They made there way and then they were off to the next stage, and it was a stage that would change lives........
