The Adventures of Agent 9 (Book 1)

Belly Phase

Kai and 8 flew through the air and into the next stage. They opened the door that was in front of them to see boxes full of greenish-blue Octarians going down into the water on the floor.

"Do we have to climb them?!" Kai asked questing.

"I think so..." 8 replies softly.

"Well, what are we waiting for!"

Kai took in a deep breath in, and jumped onto the first one. He then inked another box and swam up the next. 8 did the same thing, but a little more gracefully. Kai struggled to get on to each one because he had to jump, and he wasn't very good at that. Soon, 8 got in front of him.

"Look! I see a way down! All we have to do is jump and get past the Octowashers!" After 8 said that, she gracefully jumps down avoiding the Octowashers.

"Wait?! Did you say Octowashers?!" Kai stops, frozen by fear.

"Yeah, it's not too hard to pass them though!"
     
Kai got ready to jump. He watched as they spun around, and as soon as he thought it was safe he jumped. It was almost as if time froze as he saw them slowly encroaching upon him, and just as he was about to land, they swooped underneath him. He closed his eyes and found himself dangling in the side of the platform with the Octowashers behind him.
     
"Mister Kai!" 8 came running over to him trying to help him up from the ledge.
     
After she helped him up (Kai did most of the work because 8 is very small), he laid down on the platform shaking.

"Mister Kai are you ok?" She asked as she tilted her head to the side.
     
Kai sat up and calmed his breathing down. "I'm ok." He said with a smile. "And you can just call me Kai."

"Ok...."

"Well, let's get moving. We still have more of the stage that we need to complete."
     
Kai looked ahead to see more Octowashers in his path, but he just swallowed hard and try not to think of them hitting him. He gracefully jumped around them (if you count screaming like a little girl graceful).

"Ok, we did it, is the stage over yet?"

"I don't really think so, look." 8 pointed at more of the boxes filled with the Octarians in them.

"Oh. Great."

Just as he was about to jump onto one of the boxes he heard a slight static noise. "Cshhhhhhhh-nee- Cshhhhhhhh- elp-cshhhhhhh- 3's-Cshhhhhhhhh-gone ma-cshhhhhhh."

"What was that?" 8 asked.

"I don't know, but I think we better find Niki soon." Just as he said that Kai found himself jumping onto one of the moving boxes.

Soon after, 8 joined and they both jumped on the boxes to get to the other side. They found out that they needed a key and it was on the complete another side, so when they got there, 8 jumped down and got it and they both found their way to unlock the next section of the stage.

"Finally we did it, we can go onto the next stage!" As they unlocked the door they realized that there was still more.

"Aww dang it!"

So they continued on with the stage. There was not much left of it, so they just had to go on the moving platform and avoid the missiles that we coming at them which wasn't as hard as they thought.

Soon after, they got to the platform and finished the stage. Kai was relieved to go onto the next stage because he hated jumping- probably because he wasn't good at it and that the Octowashers gave him some anxiety- but he was relieved that it was finally over.
     
They went to the next stage but once Kai finds out what the stage really was, he is going to wish he was back where he was before.......
