i've been reading death note after quitting it a while ago so here's a tiny L x Light fic i guess
L's POV
Hmm. Not enough sugar. I'm all out of cubes, too...
I sigh, getting up from my seat and walking over to Light Yagami.
"Light, come with me. We're going to buy groceries," I inform. He nods and grabs that tan coat that he always wears.
"Aren't you going to be cold, Ryuzaki? It's -6° celsius out there," Matsuda points out the window.
I sigh and grab a pair of sneakers and socks. The feeling of shoes is strange on my feet.
"Ryuzaki, I have a spare coat. Take it," Light says as I'm putting on the shoes.
"Thank you, Light. Uhh... this may be an awkward question, but could you tie my shoes?"
Light looks at me puzzled. He slowly kneels down and starts tying the laces. I watch as his slim fingers gracefully slip the strings through each other to make a perfectly symmetrical bow.
He does the same to the other shoe and stands up.
"Thank you," I mutter, my face heating up from how close he is.
"Sure. Let's head to that new bakery. Mitsuki's or something. I hear it has good doughnuts," he suggests. I nod and we start walking down there.

"Hello! Welcome to Mitsuki's Doughnuts, Pastries, and Cakes! What interests you today?" a blond woman asks sweetly.
"Three containers of sugar cubes, one strawberry shortcake, a pack of 50 cake pops, two Nutella croissants, thirteen cannolis, and four boxes of doughnuts. Surprise me with the doughnuts," I respond. I hand her a list in case she didn't get it all.
"Alright, coming right up, sirs. It might take a while."
We nod and sit in a booth across from each other.
Light's POV
Ryuzaki's long order finally was ready. We've been sitting here for 15 minutes.
"Ryuzaki. I'll pay. You've been doing a lot and this is a gift from me."
I hand the lady my credit card and pay for the whole order.
"Thank you, Light. Nobody has ever done something like that for me," Ryuzaki mumbles.
"No problem. Wanna go to that park? We deserve a break anyways," I suggest.
Ryuzaki nods and pulls out a cake pop.
I think back to when Ryuzaki blushed while I was tying his shoes... why not tease him a little?
While taking a bite of the sweet, i lean over and bite the other side, having our lips brush together.
"Light? What are you doing?" he asks, face red and mouth still full.
"It looked good. You have good taste in sweets, Ryuzaki," I smirk.
"Clearly not. I am 78% sure that you have decided to tease me since I have gotten flustered around you lately," he responds after swallowing the bite of cake pop.
My jaw drops, "I- how-" I stutter.
"It appears that I have fallen for you, Light Yagami. I am 69% (nice) sure that you have the same feelings for me."
Ryuzaki looks at me, taking a croissant and splitting it in half, offering it to me. I lean down and take a bite.
I smile at him and we sit in silence. I decide to make a move and grab his cold hand.
"Yes. You're correct, as always."
