Bakugou's POV
"Guys! We've got some great news!" that damned Pikachu exclaims, running into the lounging area where the squad is hanging out, minus Pikachu and Shitty Hair.
"What is it?" Mina asks.
Shitty Hair smiles, "Well, Denki and I are dating!"
My eyes widen and tear up at the feeling of my heart being stampeded on my a herd of elephants.
Today was going to be the day I confessed to Kirishima.
I feel my heart sink into my stomach as I pretend to be a little happy for them.
"T-that's great, Dumb Hair," I roll my eyes.
"Thanks, Bakubro! Anyways, we're gonna head out- wait, Sero, why do you look so mad?" Kaminari asks.
Sero walks up to Kirishima and slaps him across the face.
"Dude! What the hell was that for?!" he asks, holding his probably red cheek.
Sero merely points to me, and just then do I realize hot tears are freely flowing down my face. I see pink arms wrap around my shoulders in a tight hug.
"...Bakugou? What's wrong?" Kirishima takes a step towards me.
Mina says, "I think it's best you two leave for now. We're really happy for you, please know that."
He nods and the two of them exit the room. Mina moves my face to her shoulder and lets me cry. The most I can do right now is let silent tears fall and soak into her white and pink striped shirt.
My chest squeezes in the most unbearable way. My eyes are screwed tightly shut, only relaxing when I feel Mina's acrylic nails gently rubbing my head and brushing through my hair.
"Hey, Bakugou, wanna stay the night with me? Sero and I can pamper you and make up for what happened earlier..." she offers gently.
I can only nod and sniff as I continue to cry. I can't really breathe, it's just me choking on oxygen and tears flowing freely.
"We can even watch your favourite movies," Sero adds, "stay up late just talking and stuff."
"I-I... I would like that..." I sniff and pull away, wiping my nose on my hoodie sleeve.
"Poor thing, let's get some clothes and go to my dorm, okay?" Mina stands up and I nod. She helps me to my room and grabs a pair of my basketball shorts and a white undershirt.
We head back to her dorm and start watching some stand up comedy. We start off with little clips of Chris D'Elia off of YouTube but eventually watch some John Mulaney on Netflix.
"See? You're looking more lively. You want something to eat?" Sero asks.
"I dunno... I'm not really hungry right now," I mumble.
Mina smiles, "That's okay. I do think we should get some sleep now. Will that help?"
I nod and rest my head on one of her spare pillows.
"It'll be alright, Bakugou. I have a feeling they won't last long... I mean, have you seen the way Kaminari looks at Shinsou?" Sero points out.
"I guess you're right... but I do see how Kirishima chose him over me. I mean, Kaminari is nicer, more attractive, more outgoing... just everything I'm not."
Mina gasps, "Don't say that about yourself, Bakugou Katsuki! What happened to Mr. 'I'm Gonna Be The Number One Hero and Beat Deku's Ass'?"
"Yeah man, you used to be super confident. Don't let one dude bring your whole life down. C'mon Bakugou. It's way past when you normally go to sleep and you're probably tired," Sero pats my shoulder.
I sigh, "I'm only going to say this once, so listen up. Thank you for this..."
"Awh, of course! You're our friend, we don't want you to be down!" Mina smiles, "I'm gonna turn off the lights now."
The room goes pitch dark and I hear the other two shuffling to get comfortable. Now it's only me and my thoughts.
'I hope you're happy, Eijirou. Just know that I loved you more.'
