Aleksian's POV~

"The old Fell property actually starts just beyond that fence." Jenna states as Elijah and I walk on either side of her.

"Ah the Fells. One of the founding families." Elijah states and he messes with a stick he picked up.

"Why do you say it like that?" Jenna asks and I simply stay silent, listening to his explanation.

"My research showed me that this area was actually settled almost two full centuries earlier. It was a migration of townsfolk from the Northeast. Um, Salem, to be precise."

"As in Massachusetts, the witch trials?" Jenna asks, extremely intrigued.

"Let's not forget the Vikings Eli..." Jenna looks at me with curiosity, "Vikings?" she asks and I simply nod my head before continuing. "Yes there was a settlement of Viking warriors that settled here over a thousand years ago. Leif Erikson and several other Viking warriors from Europe came to settle up north. Some of them migrated here. Though most think they came in 1000 A.D. In the 11th century, there were some here a few years before that, around 974 A.D. In the 10th century. Though most either went back to Europe or died of some illness."

"Wow, you guys sure do know your history." Jenna claims and we nod.

"Which means the ever lauded founding families...Didn't actually found anything." Elijah says and I turn to them with a small smile.

"I'm sure it was the men who made a big deal about being founders back in 1860. Men are very territorial." Jenna says as we stop walking. "They most certainly are." I reply as Alaric, I believe his name is, walks up to us.

"Uh, Elijah, Aleksian, this is... My friend, Alaric Saltzman." Jenna introduces us. "Yeah, I got your message about walking Elijah and Aleksian around the old property lines and I thought I'd tag along. Being a history buff and all.... So... Where to next?" he asks, and I just smile sweetly at him, which I can see is making him uncomfortable. Good. It should.

"I'm pretty curious about the freed slave property owners. Some say you know the, descendants of slaves are the true keepers of American history." Elijah said calmly.

"Well I only brought the surveys with me. I've got that list in my car just give me a sec." Jenna says and she starts to walk away.

"I'll go with you. Let the boys chat about where they want to see first." I comment and walk away from my bother, following Jenna.

As we get to her car she asks me a question. "So is there something you wanted to ask me?"

I look after and give her a small smile and a laugh. "No, no. I just figured leaving the boys to their own appeal for a few minutes, will let them get their history dispute out of the way so they don't get their panties in a twist for the rest of the tour."

When I said this Jenna laughed, "That makes sense." I simply nod, "Yes, boys will never shut up when they think they're right. Girls, I've noticed, however, only speak up if they know they're right."

Some time later, Elijah, Jenna, and I walk into the Grill and approach a table where Alaric, Damon and a girl I don't know are sitting at. "Hey guys." Jenna says with a smile. "So I hear you three had a, quite a meeting of historical minds today." Damon claims and Jenna nods her head slowly, "Yeah, I guess you could say that."
