Aleksian's POV~
When I woke up in the morning, I quickly sped downstairs and snapped my brother's neck. Walking back upstairs to get ready for the day, the hybrids move away from me, so I call out "Tell him that makes us even." so they can repeat it when I'm gone and Nik wakes up.

As I'm driving I call someone on my phone and put it on speaker.
"Why are you calling me Khione?" is all Elena says when she picks up.
"Because today is Caroline's birthday, so I'm calling a 24-hour truce. That does not mean go and do something stupid, it means we are putting all of our problems aside for the day.
Now, I'm going out and about getting things for Caroline, is there anything you need me to grab, order, make, for her that you can't do?" I say, and after a pause, I hear her sigh.
"We ordered a birthday cake but it's not going to be ready in time if you could-"
"Say no more. I'll have it handled and in her house by the end of the school day. Anything else?" I ask.
I get a reply right away, "Nope. That's it. Unless of course you feel like bringing alcohol as well."
"I can do that. I shall text you when the cake and alcohol is there. Due text me when you lot are done celebrating and I'll come by after so it's not awkward." at this, I hang up and continue driving to pick up several things I've ordered for Caroline.

After going to a few nice places, I found a bakery that I compelled myself for the day and baked a cake.
Adding a little bourbon to the batter and the icing as well. Then proceeded to go and pick up various alcohols before making my way to Caroline's and leaving it all in the kitchen before leaving to finish the rest of what I'm to do today.
Picking up my phone I call Elena again and thankfully she picks up quickly. "Yeah?"
"I've gotten everything you asked. The cake is in the fridge and the various alcohol is on the counter in Caroline's kitchen. What time do you think you and your friends will be done celebrating?" I tell her, getting straight to the point.
"Uh, around... 10:30/11:00... And thanks for this. I know we don't get along, you know, at all, but what you're doing for Caroline is nice."
"Of course. I always take care of my friends, Elena. Well. I'll leave you all be. Enjoy the truce whilst it lasts. Can't imagine my brother not acting Klaus-like for very long." before she could respond I hang up.
