Chapter 21- Ain't No Rest For The Wicked

Third Person POV~

"Hello again." Elijah states to Elena, Stefan, and Matt as he stands at the entrance inside the Gilbert household.

"What are you doing here Elijah." Stefan asks as he crosses his arms. "Well as it seems, my sisters are smarter than you anticipated. Aleksian gave Rebekah, a watch. Now that watch alone is completely useless. However. That watch has a sibling. A twin if you will. When one watch is activated, it creates a compass, a beacon if you will, that leads the second watch to it. Niklaus holds the second one." Elijah pauses as he walks further into the home after closing the door.

"As you can assume. Aleksian gave Rebekah the watch as a safety precaution. Should anything happen to the twins, all Niklaus had to do was press his watch. I'm sure you can detest by my presence here, he did. Now... What is it you have done with my siblings?" Elijah asks with a pointed look and he places his hands in his dress pants pockets.

"All we need to do is take the stake from him. Once he's been disarmed, the weapons in my possession, my family will scatter to the ends of the Earth. And Alaric, will follow us." Elijah states after he was told what the Scooby gang did to his siblings.

"And you'll just... Run." Stefan says as he takes a seat at the dinner table as well. "We've done it before. Klaus, Khione, and Rebekah spent the better part of a thousand years evading my father. What's another half-century while Elena's able to live out the rest of her natural human life?" the Original answers.

"We've finally stopped them, Elijah. After everything that they have done to us, I can't just let you bring them back." Elena tells him. "I give you my word, Elena. I will not revive Klaus or Khione within yours, nor even your children's lifetimes. Perhaps it'll teach Klaus some manners and teach Khione not to follow her so blindly into trouble." Elijah replies.

"Why should she trust you? All you've done is screw her over." Matt speaks up.

"And for that, I'm deeply ashamed. But know this— she could've been dead the instant I walked through that door tonight, and Rebekah could just as easily followed that watch to both my siblings' bodies, and yet here I am. So... Elena. I leave it to you to make the decision whether to trust me or not."

"Not! Hello! Did that concussion give you brain damage?! His lunatic siblings will kill you the first chance they get!" Damon yells through the phone.

"Rebekah and Kol will honor the terms. If you return Klaus and Khione's bodies to us... Elena will come to no harm... Do we have a deal?" Elijah asks.

"No! No, no, no, no. Did I mention, No?!" Damon yells over the phone.

"Elena it's up to you." Stefan says and Damon groans. "Oh come on!"

"Why do you want Klaus and Khione's bodies?" Elena asks the Original vampire. "They're my brother and sister. We remain together." Elijah answers.

After a small moment, Elena sighs. "We have a deal." she answers him.

"—Two jerkified Originals." Damon says to Bonnie as he opens the storage locker to reveal two coffins.

When Damon opened both coffins, Klaus' eyes opened up. "Creepy." Damon says and Bonnie glances at the tribrid. "Her eyes aren't open like Klaus'." she states.
