Chapter 7- One's True Self

Aleksian's POV~

This morning I came to the Salvatore boarding house, when I arrived at the front door, I listened in to see if they were home, only to hear my brother speaking.

"Kalus and Khione must create a psychic link, then Khione must kill a witch, a werewolf, and a vampire, then they both drink the blood of the doppelganger, to the point of your death.-" He was about to say more, but I rang the doorbell instead.

When the door opens, I see all of them on the other side.

"Hello, Elena," I smirk when I see her flinch in fright.

"Now, I heard Elijah informing you of the curse which means he told you everything. However, what he forgot to mention is that I have the elixir that shall save your life and unless you invite me in, I'll smash it pieces and I'll simply let you stay dead." I tell her, waving around the small box in my hand.

"Khione. You can come in."

Walking through the threshold of the door, we make our way back into the library.

Opening the box, I take out the elixir. "This is an elixir I created for Katerina barr Elijah's request. It posses the mystical properties of resuscitation." I explain, showing it to them.

"So I'll be dead?" Elena asks, and Elijah replies. "And then you won't."

"That's your plan? You want to rely on a witch potion that has no expiration date? You want to come back to life, what about John's ring?" Damon asks whilst looking over to Elena.

"That ring only works on humans. The doppelganger is a supernatural occurrence so chances are it won't work. Besides, magic has no operation date. And... I made it cherry flavored." I say the last part with a small smile.

"Well I'll take the rings odds over your elixir. What if it doesn't work Elena?" Damon states again.

"Then I guess I'll just be dead." she answers and I roll my eyes.

"You say that like I'm an idiot, when I am far from it. I've tested the elixir on a person before, I know it works. But there is a very small chance due to you being supernatural, it may not work on you." I state with a bored expression. Damon simply walks away.

"Do we know if Klaus has everything he needs to break the curse? Does he have a werewolf?" Elena asks, I put the elixir away and cross my arms over my chest.

"Niklaus and I have been waiting for over a thousand years to break this bloody curse. And though I haven't spoken to him since our re-birthday, the night I killed Jonas, I'm sure if he doesn't already have a wolf, he will by nightfall." I state matter-of-factly.

"Ah yes, happy belated re-birthday sister. I'm sorry I was a bit, indisposed at the time. Though you knew that." Elijah says kindly.

"Yes well you were breathing down my neck Eli, keeping you daggered for the moment was in my best interest. But I did as you asked of me whilst you were dead. And a happy re-birthday to you as well." I respond.

After about ten minutes, of Elena and Elijah filling me in on what I've missed the two days I was gone, I hear Jenna screaming for someone to get out.
