A/N: Hello Lovelies! Today my daughter is one! I can't believe how fast is has come and how much has changed. I was writing Knuckles and Scarlett's story when I gave birth and now I've nearly finished book ten! Thank you for all your love and support ❤️
I'm not sure what's real. One minute I'm hanging in a cell, next I'm with Sarah, then I'm with my parents and then back to the cell. I'm trying to remember what happened but everything is too cold and numb to concentrate, I guess that's because of the ever expanding pool of blood I see below me.
I don't know how long it's been since I last saw Sarah, is she safe? Is some one hurting her? I told her I would always protect her but I feel like I've failed. I've never felt so weak as I do right now, I'm trying my best not to fall asleep because I feel like once I fall asleep I won't wake up. I need to know Sarah is safe before that happens.
"Shit I found him get Doc." I hear a voice but I can't seem to raise my head to look
"Help me get him down!" It sounds like Knuckles voice and then I hear more footsteps
"Fuck. We've got you BFG, hang on." Killers voice echos around me. I grimace as pain shoots through my shoulders but then I feel like I'm floating.
"Doc get in here now!" Killer yells, I hear footsteps and then the sound of a zipper
"Ok I'm gonna need extra hands." Doc says
"Can you hear me BFG?" Doc asks and I open my eyes to look up at him, I try to nod but fuck it hurts my neck
"Alright man don't move, I'll fix you up." He replies as he begins pulling stuff out of his bag
"We checked the rest of the building it's empty." I hear Reaper say from the doorway
"Fuck, they've taken Sarah with them?" Knuckles asks
"Alright I've done all I can do here let's get him to the van, I'll call Cordelia on the way." Doc says.
Everything becomes a blur, darkness, light, faces above me, I just don't have any energy left. I know I'm back at the clubhouse, but I shouldn't be here without Sarah. Sarah, I have to find her
"Sarah?" I call out, my voice quieter and weaker than I expected.
"Sarah?" I try again, louder this time.
"B? It's me Cordelia, can you hear me?" I open my eyes and see Cordelia stood beside me
"I need to find Sarah." I try to sit up but the explosion of pain through my body sends me back down onto the bed
"You need to take it easy B you were beaten pretty bad." Cordelia says
"But.... Sarah." She looks down at me eyes full of sympathy
"The guys are working on it sweetie, you need to focus on getting better for her." She smiles as she takes my hand, stroking the back with her thumb.
"Good news is I thought your leg was broken, it's not, just badly bruised, the swelling should go down if you keep it elevated." She explains. The only good news I want is Sarah walking through that door back to me.
"I'll go get you a drink and a little something to eat, I'll be right back." She says before walking out leaving me alone in the infirmary.
"How's Toby doing?" I ask as Cordelia returns with a bottle of water and some toast
"Well let's just say when we get Sarah home she owes me." Cordelia chuckles and I look at her confused
"I told Toby mommy was helping her friend uncle giant with something and she'll be back soon and he decided to ask me if you were more than a friend to mommy because he's seen you two kissing and he thought only mommy and daddy's kissed." She rolls her eyes
"Oh fuck, what did you tell him?" I chuckle, man that's a deep conversation for a four year old with a dad like his, Sarah won't be happy she missed it
"I didn't know what to say, I figured he should hear it from Sarah so I just told him that you two had been friends a long time and that you're a good man." She shrugs
"Then he asked me if he should call you daddy now." That has me spraying water all over myself and Cordelia laughing
"I told him he should ask you, good luck with that one." She smirks patting me on the shoulder. When I find Sarah we'll talk to Toby together. Fuck yeah I want to be his dad but I don't want to rush it and I don't want him to think I'm anything like fucking Charles.
"There's someone at the front gate, says he has info on Sarah." Circuit says in the doorway
"Wait you need to keep that leg up." Cordelia tries to push me back on the bed but I shrug her off
"Fine but at least put some clothes on." She chuckles "nice ass by the way." I look down and realise I was naked under the blanket that has now fallen to the floor
"Here." Cordelia hands me a pair of sweatpants and I ignore the pain as I rush to put them on. I'd have happily run out naked if it meant getting Sarah back but barefoot and shirtless will do for now.
It takes me longer than I would like to hobble to the front gate where I find Killer, Bullet and Knuckles. Killer has a middle aged man in a suit pinned up against his blacked out SUV
"Why should we trust you?" He growls in his face. I push passed Bullet and Knuckles
"You know where Sarah is?" I ask over Killers shoulder and he nods as he gasps for breath, Killers arm over his throat
"Let him go." I say to Killer and he raises his eyebrow before nodding and releasing the man
"I'm Mr Callahans driver, Ben." Ben coughs as he bends over trying to catch his breath
"I'll just tell you what I know and leave, I promise, I just want to help that poor girl, I've seen her hurt too many times." He sighs as he regains his composure.
"You're telling me to had her and you didn't help her escape!?" Knuckles holds me back but I'm begging to pound my fists in his face
"Please, Mr Callahan threatened my wife and children, Sarah asked me to tell you where she is, but she didn't want me to put my family at risk. But I knew I had to help, I'm sorry I can't do more." He sighs
"Bullet, get the address, get it to Circuit, Knuckles get everyone ready, I'm gonna call Sheriff Johnson, let's go." Killer orders
"I already know your answer, I'd do the same if it was Cordelia, but you should probably stay here with your injuries." Killer says as I hobble back towards the clubhouse
"Fuck that." I growl
"I figured, let's go get your girl." Killer chuckles patting me on the back.
