Peter has awoken before Freya. He was surprised that she slept through the whole night without waking up.
He glanced at the time on his phone seeing it was nearly six thirty meaning he had to get up and get ready for school soon but he didn't want to leave the bed.
He watched her as the morning sun peaked through his curtains. His fingers danced on the bare skin of her side as he watched her sleep.
He frowned a little when his fingers traced over the scars on her side. He remembered the day he had gotten the phone call from Tony explaining what had happened.
He jumped slightly When he felt a hand land on top of his. He looked up seeing Freya awake as she watched his movements. She entwined their hands and gave his a gentle squeeze as if to reassure him.
Peter brought her hand up to his mouth and placed a gentle kiss on the back of it before wrapping his arms around her to pull her bare body closer to his.
He smiled as he looked at her lazily "I should probably get up"
Freya smiled and ran her hand through his messy hair "You probably should"
Peter moved so he was hovering over her. He kissed her nose, then her cheek then moved to place a kiss on her neck "Or I can stay here with you and stay in bed all day"
Peter removed his head from her neck and went to place a kiss on her lips but just as their lips brushed his door swung open.
"For Christ sake Peter-" May cut herself off when she noticed that her nephew wasn't still asleep and that he wasn't alone.
Peter's eyes widened as he moved off of Freya and covered her with the covers. He stared at his aunt with a shocked expression "May what the hell?!"
May covered her eyes and laughed "I thought you slept through your alarm again but I can see that you weren't asleep"
She pointed over her shoulder with her free hand "I'm just gonna go make breakfast. Oh and hi Freya"
Freya said a quiet hi back before May backed out of the room and shut the door. Peter groaned and threw himself back on the bed "That was embarrassing"
Freya chuckled and sat up "Just be glad we have underwear on or that would've been even more awkward"
Peter turned his head to her in confusion "How are you not embarrassed right now?"
Freya shrugged "I think with the amount of times my dad has walked in us mid make out, I've gotten use to it"
Peter grumbled and stood up from the bed "Well you're not the one that gets the lecture every time he does"
Once they were dressed they joined May in the kitchen. Peter felt slightly awkward and embarrassed after May walking in on them so he ate his breakfast as quickly as possible and dragged Freya out of the apartment.
They walked hand in hand as they approached the school. Freya looked around nervously, noticing all the looks she was getting.
After everything had happened she had left school and was home schooled. It was the best thing to do since she was officially announced as an Avenger and rumours started to spread about her. Tony and S.H.I.E.L.D were able to keep most of it out of the news but there were still rumours going around about her.
Peter stopped walking when he realised Freya had let go of his hand and turned around only to see her looking around nervously.
Peter sighed slightly knowing what she was thinking and kissed her cheek which gained her attention again. Peter smiled when she looked up at him.
Freya sighed and smiled guiltily "I'm doing it again aren't I?" Peter nodded his head "You are"
"I'm sorry" Peter shook his head and grabbed her hand, pulling her towards him "They don't know what really happened"
Freya frowned "But some of them aren't wrong"
Before Peter could reassure her Ned walked up to them "Hey guys"
Freya smiled when she saw Ned "Hey Ned"
Freya reached up to kiss Peter on the cheek "I'll see you later, have fun on your trip"
Before Freya had the chance to walk away Peter grabbed her by the hand and pulled her to him causing her to squeal slightly in surprise. He smiled and kissed her on the lips. He pulled back slightly and reached for the necklace that was around her neck "I love you"
Ned sighed beside them "Thank you guys for reminding me of how single I am"
Meanwhile Tony was sat on the couch looking over the results from Freya's tests in Wakanda. He kept staring at the brain scan as something was familiar about it.
He walked into his lab and over to his archives where he kept everything about Freya. He looked through her files until he found what he was looking for and took it back to the living room.
He compared the two with a frown on his face, not believing what he was seeing.
He hadn't even noticed Pepper had sat next to him until he felt her hand on his arm "What are you looking at?"
Tony sighed and separated the brain scans. He pointed to the first one that showed nothing "Freya had this taken in Wakanda"
Pepper frowned at it seeing nothing wrong with it "It's normal"
Tony picked up the second scan "This one was taken two days after the first one" This scan was what scared Tony as it showed so much brain activity "Shuri told me this was taken after Freya had one of her nightmares"
Tony then picked up the old scan and placed it next to it "This one I took after she was shot and wouldn't wake up"
Pepper's eyes widened "They're exactly the same"
Tony nodded sadly "Freya had told me the voices got worse after that and that was when her powers became really strong"
Pepper looked at him confused "Do you think it's happening again?"
Tony looked over at his fiancé "I'm pretty sure it's happening again"
